Stormtroopers & shaman(developer?)

I keep seeing these ingame as imperial soldiers, and I'm told by a very rude person named Shaman (Who also claimed he made the game) that its not possible, and I am a lying tk'ing scumbag because I accidently put 2 blasts in his back ONCE, which didnt kill him, because clones and stormies look too alike at range.

So two things really.

Who is this shaman? Did he really make the game? I wasnt the only person he was acting like a jerk with, he seems a very abrasive sort.

Whats with the stormtroopers? Why am I seeing them? Its not every soldier, just some.

Shaman can be a know-it-all sometimes, but he's a pretty ok guy otherwise. About the stormie thing I can just say: WTF? Seems very strange, but the screens proves it. Wierd...

At first he said he was one of the people who made it xero, perhaps you hadnt joined at that time?

I was thinking the stormtrooper thing might be people using console model commands to change, but according to shaman, the people I saw as stormtroopers were actually imperial officers.

When I play as an imperial soldier I can play as an imperial officer, and I have also seen other imperial officers playing too (I should get a promotion for this!) so its not a model conflict.

It actually sounds like - maybe - your somehow running an older version of the client code, and yet still connecting to the server -possibly because the server is non-pure your able to still play.

...I suggest you make sure you have (correctly) installed the Build 15 patch.
...if you have defnelty installed that patch corrrectly, then I'm not sure what the problem could be.. :/

And no-Shaman is not a member of the dev team. He is a long-term MB player, and we MAY have taken on one or two of his suggestions at some point. (It's hard to say - I get a lot of suggestions! lol). Maybe that's why he thinks he's part of the team...

I have had 'dealings' with ShamaN before, he said I lied about Battle Droids and he said "They don't exist".

it could be that if you d/l the custom stormtrooper skin of jk3files it might be replacing another model so u can use it on the server or that the black spaces next to the orginal models on the mod are being filled but d/l skins

I dont have any custom models installed.

I put the map-pack into the base directory, and the b15 into the mb2 directory, copying and old files that where there. Should I have deleted the b14 and made b15 fresh?

b14 didn't have stormtroopers either, if it's an older version conflict it must be from before that.

You normally can just use the patch to upgrade from B14 to B15. But since your having problems, might be worth trying - as you say - just removing the whole MBII folder and try installing the Full B15 file.

Aw, come on, you didn't seriously buy that, did you? What aimbot declares openly that it's active? They guy's a clown, and does no real harm. He can be a pain in the rear sometimes, but mostly he keeps himself in line.

in settings check you don't have force models on.
