Meta and I have pretty much finished the MB2 movie were are co-making, but we have come to a huge hurdle. DSI seem to be unable to give Meta any help, so I thought I would try here.

I am using Quake Video Maker to "edit" and "put together" our movie, and it is virtually finished. But whenever I try and add music, I get an error message.

Quake Video Maker is compatible with wav and mp3 formats. I went to www.moviewavs.com (not sure if this is the exact name) and got a Star wars "theme" mp3 and a few mp3 soudbytes from the Phantom Menace. These mp3's work fine together and I can add them to my film and play them perfectly.

The problem begins when I try and add a Duel of the Fates mp3 music file. Whenever I add it, I get an error message saying "successive soundfiles must have the same bitrate and channels. The movie may play wierdly". Sure enough, when it gets to the bit where duel of the fates is playing it starts screechy and then goes silent. If I don't add this Duel of the Fates mp3 music file, the other mp3's I use are fine. And the other mp3's certainly don't have the same bitrate (kilobytes a second I presume),and yet they work fine.

I have downloaded and tried 6 different mp3 versions of duel of the fates.

Is it the moviewav's mp3's that are the problem (I hope not because we can't find any other mp3 soundbytes on any other site. Or are these wav's that have just been named to mp3 but not converted????), or something in quake video maker?

We really need some assistance, otherwise this movie will never be released. :(

Just compress the movie in a high quality then import it to Windows Movie Maker or Premiere or Vegas, add the music, and compress.
