Infernox's map (polis massa or military base):
My IMP Order 66 map: Betrayal At Eosarim:
- Palpatine strikes a pose
- Padawan
- Meleetrooper
- Caluus Zeinai in the Hangar Control room (so he can unlock the Republic gunship) - going to remove upper lights
Another IMP map: Republic Freighter Assault
- Ignore the space background, I have yet to finish that corridor
Looks pretty good, some stuff looks a little too boxy, but yeah, overall somethiing I would play.

Looks alright, but texturing could be a bit better. Not the choice of textures but I mean alligning the textures correctly so they look nicer. Also, the lighting could be better by making it spread across evenly.

Next time, invert the colors in addition to blurring it, since its obvious as to what it is.
Textures look a little stretched on the lights on the palpy shot, but apart from that it looks alright Toka. I'd post a teaser here of my map, but I can't find one that you wouldnt guess within 2 seconds :p

Kind of ugly. I think its too dark also.
I do like the hallways though. But that does make soldiers unpushable if I remember from b16 tantive.

Oh, and that's not the BoC. Though with the droid control ship inside walls i've got now i probably could do a good BoC map.

Yes, it's obviously a Gungan shaving an Ewok in the new Thonboka Nebula map where it is a Jawa/Ewok vs Gungan fight, the Gungans have to shave the Holy Ewok as their objective, the Ewok team has to steal the Gungan's electrical shavers.

No. You do however, still hold the record, for the worst f*cking map ever made for any game.
There was a map for CS made in 2001 that was one small room, completely pitch black, with no content. It was not even textured.
That map was better than your map.

Bump for new bridge screenies for Betrayal at Eosarim:
Will add lighting at the top so you can see the top texture (instead of being all black like that)

meh, i'm still working on a lot of the lighting, my entity sun is lighting where it shouldn't, etc.

Those red thingies are diffinately being retextured
Texturing in hangar is fairly bright
Scenery outside hangar to be added( desert)
More detail in hangar( exposed rocks, spikes)
Mapping Hangars is harder than what I thought but I like the outcome(the way i had built the control room initially made it really annoying to do the hangar)

Nice pics p!ng, I like the hologram Death Star. The wall to ceiling textures in that room look a little off, but other than that looks pretty good. Hopefully it will avoid the lag of problems of the current arena when filled with people.

I like the "subdued" hue of the arena. The current one is too bright. Geonosis is supposed to be a reddish-brown, which is what yours is.

p!ng is one of my favorite mappers, I played his Geonosis arena FFA map, it was outstanding.
p!ng's maps always seem to look really accurate...but Geo Arena was only a little too oval shaped.

imo i was browsing maps at jk3files looking for textures to steal and i found pings geonosis arena ffa, along with hotfo and that siege map.... All of them look great ;)
I really liked those rocks at his siege map... they reminded me of a deathmatch level

I wasn't going to post any GTKRadiant screenies, because they usually suck, but I take exception to this room: imo it looks freaking awesome
(need a little bit of tweaking to make them line up a bit more though, one's farther down than the other)

I originally planned it to be a train riding around the map that would stop in different places to pick up passengers, but once I dumped the second incarnation of that map and decided to go with an indoor layout I thought a ride on a train might be cooler than hacking a panel to win the round.
Also, Infernop isn't having a hostile competition with me..I've known him for a while.
edit: infernop you know your yellow/orange light (the one that i used too) is misaligned: too far to the left

Now im going to post a picture of my map so that you can laugh at me.
Yes it is too dark, yes the lighting sucks (it is compiled in test mode)
I like the architecture in the supports in the roof, they are difficult to see though. This isnt really a map of anything yet, Im still learning radiant. I'd post more but Im in such an early stage of making this room that the ceiling supports are the only thing that is reall finished anyway... the rest of the light is going to come from the ceiling some how because i like the shadows it casts, probably slanted and light shines in towards the ceiling structures.
There is a control center type thing in the middle, it sucks pretty hardcore due to how small it is :(
And I know nobody likes my map, but do realize it has yet to have any hallways, or anything except one not even nearly finished room, so quit laughing at my terrible screenshot that showed an X, 3 phallic windows, and a big black void. (they arent nearly as phallic as toka train though.)

I'd suggest to use another texture scheme.
All those textures were used in almost the same fashion on Lunarbase.
I'm sticking with those textures for now but I'll probably only use them for the corridors so they follow the same sort of scheme. I noticed they looked like Lunar when I was doing them but that was manily because of the shiney floor texture and as most of the floor is taken up by the pipes and grates anyway I didn't think it would matter that much.
And Ripley its in early development, I'll tell you the current objectives on msn if you want but I'll probably change them again later, I think I've been through 3 ideas already lol.

Yeah I already have that's been fixed, the door is in two halfs now one goes off to the left, the other to the right. But I've lost motivation for mapping at the moment but I guess I'll pick it back up again soon.
