This is a basejka "bug". Close saber when throwing. Yes you can drop it and then take it when enemy comes, but it isn't so handy still...

i did that all the time in basejka, it fun and u can set minor traps 4 ppl (especcially lamers).
So to me rusty m8, that is OLD news

Its not a bug. It was coded this way on purpose. If Ren uses my saber throw code then I've disabled this, because the saber never comes back, it auto-offs when it hits something. Unless it hits a wall. Then it sticks.

It also won't reactivate when you pull it back. Throwing a saber is supposed to be a last ditch effort. And if the issue hadn't been pushed the issue Ren and razor were planning on taking it out completely.

take sber throw out then, i dont use it in MB anyway.
The saber doesnt go far enough in my opinion on MB so i dont even bother to use it + with blocking u never gonna get it back anyway LOL :p

Well the reason I did it that way was to give it a more star wars feel. Otherwise it feels like a yo-yo. This also gives the ability to ramp up the damage significantly. with the disadvantage of if you miss you have to retreive your weapon out of a wall. Its also effected by gravity. So the throw is more akin to the detonator. It arcs.

That sounds great

I always hated the way the saber ignites on its way back into your hand. You press a button to turn it on, and although it would be possible for a Jedi if they concentrated enough, it's unlikely that you'd be able to push that button as you pull it through the air.

lol, i never thought about that

And the other jedi could always pull it from you... there's a sort of fan fic vid around where that happens... only to be solved by one of them releasing the saber and pushing the button... of course the saber was aimed at the other jedi...

Exsqueeeeeeze me BUT!!! Duel of the Fates... Qui Gon is dead and Obi Wan is hanging over the infinite hole in the generator room... remember what good ol' Obi did to escape certain death?(Maul was just staying above him making sure that Obi will die... slowly...) Here's what he did: He jumped over Maul and while in the air he Pulled Qui Gon's saber AND IGNITED IT at the same time... Didn't seem very concentrated to me...

I thought he ignited it when he caught it...

vader ignited his saber in the air when he pulled it back in ROTJ.

Even if you could ignite it mid-air, it wouldn't slash through people if it was flying hilt-first. They would catch it, or the Jedi pulling it would have a bit of trouble forcing it through their body ;)

If you pull hard enough you could still take out whoever gets in the way of that hilt :P

It was a "bug", not bug. But anyway I would love that new saber throw system. I have always thought that system nowadays is stupid and "unrealistic".

i agree with nanoo altho if u could have another button which ignites it in mid air 4 a certain mana cost it might be cool

yes but would make it alot more diffiult to ignite ur saber in midair lol like a true jedi

Lol I always loved that. I think either Virus or Jirec killed me once using that trick in Jabba. They tossed their saber out of the bed room door and retracted it as I stormed in, thus impaling me without ever having to swing. I say we should keep it, because I remember reading something about Jedi who activated their sabers through the force, not by use of a button.

Yea, when Darth Vader throws his saber in RoTJ it doesn't turn and come back, and when he gets it back, it doesnt reactivate.
