Server Admin!

I just came back from the moviebattles server... frusterated... annoyed... and pissed... at first it was great, I was having a good time...
until people started copying my name and running around going... "IM A2 IM GAY IM A ****ING RETARD" and I didnt even do anything to them...
It went on for about a half-hour or so until I got fed up... :(

In my opinion we need to have more admin so some of us can have a enjoyable time... plus a little map rotation wouldn't hurt. I know you guys are probably very busy and dont have time to watch the server 24/7 but mabey promote some regs to be admin.
If any of this message came accross being rude im sorry its not how i intended it to be.

I can't stress more that this is still a Beta, with unfortunately crashing-bugs, which we've been able to secure and solve. To properly keep the server from crashing, we can't have a packed server switch to a map with limited spawn-pnts. Thus we can not have a free map-rotation for now.

Don't worry, the upcoming new beta release should turn MBII Beta to (near) crashfree) and we can have a more relaxed rotation then.

Currently, a secure amount of people have totally access to the server, who unfortunately can not be available at all times. We can't have to be responsible for too many people acting silly or unappropiate as Admins, it's best to keep it under tight wraps, for our server at least.

How many admins are there from the US? There seems to be players from here on now, and none of the admins are on when we are(mostly).

i havent really minded the lack of admin since this is a beta but as of latly there have been more and more unpleasurable experiances on the srever. it seems the mod is getting more poplular, while that is a good thing, it also means that there are far more...whats a good word for it...hmmm....."unpolite" people that are joining.

it seems that some people cant realize that this is just a game and meant to be fun. they fully believe that the person that just killed them did it as an act of vendatta solely against them. so tempers flare and words are exchanged.

most of the time i just roll my eyes at this and try to continue with the game. sometimes though the arguements get way out of hand and the asurance of an admin being there would be a most welcomed sight. perhaps there should be a set of server rules or something (just a suggestion).

i still lub this mod though and think you guys are doing a bang up job.

Thanks, unfortunately this is one of the drawbacks of increasing popularity. You gain all kinds of people, friendly or not. We'll try to keep it friendly for aslong as we're on. But like any other game, there are always a few who.....are less pleasant

I have also seen the "fake" A2 pose as the real one , and if i was an admin i would have done something about it (im not saying i should be an admin)

but you have still done a great job.

well, u should play at a public siege server sometimes... there is a group of people who only take joy in ruining the game for others, by e.g. running off with the sceptre at korriban or stealing a droid part at desert, rendering the attackers unable to complete the map as they can't kill him when ff is off. at ff on-servers u usually meet people who try to blow up their teammates at spawn points or killing them with the AT-ST (at hoth). impersonators r still a minor evil compared to those guys...

hope MB will be spared by such ppl :rolleyes:
