Alright guys, I’ve written up a server side guide for SAC. This has taken a bit longer then I expected, because I had forgotten there was a lot more steps to it. Thanks Ami for bringing that up, because after looking at the readme file for SAC server side I have found there is a small error, and the wording can be a bit confusing. So let me show you all how to do it, with no errors!

1. Open Internet Explorer

2. Type in www.moviebattles.com in the website browser.

3. Click on downloads.

4. Click on Simple Anti Cheat
[

5. Look at server side download.

6. Click on HTTP, and you get a menu where you can open, save, or close it. Click Save

7. Now you get to choose where you save it too(I am on vista so yours may look different.) I am choosing my Desktop because it is an easy place to find.

8. Now it’s on my desktop and I’m going to double click it.
Now I have a menu within winrar. If you do not have winrar, you can either google “winrar” or use the built in extraction tool(Right click extract too). Extracting is simply taking a compressed file(it’s compress to make it smaller) and restoring it to it’s usable larger self. Click Extract if you’re using winrar. I am extracting all the files onto my desktop, once you finish that. We’re going to go work on the next step. Leave the files where they’re for the time being.

9. Now find your icon, for “My computer” or hit the start button and hit computer.

10. Now look for whatever drive you have your Jedi Academy game installed too. Mine is on the C:\ drive

11. Then in my program files.

12. Now into the Lucas Arts folder.

13. Then into Star Wars folder.

14. Now into your gamedata folder

15. Alright now this is where it begins to get tricky. Now enter your MBII folder.

16. Now, I want you to find your “MBII.pk3”. Next open it up with winrar. And EXTRACT “jampgamex86.dll” and have it placed in your MBII folder. (You only need to extract this file, nothing else!”

17. Now just take a look and notice, the file is now in your MBII folder (It still remains in your MBII.pk3, which is what you want). Notice the file size.

18. Now, the readme for SAC indicates that a file needs to be renamed too “jampmodulex86.dll.” The file you just extracted is the file that needs to be renamed. So the “jampgamex86.dll” is now being renamed too “jampmodulex86.dll”

19. Now I want you to find your SAC serverside files, and then move them into your MBII folder.

20. Notice it is now in your folder, and it’s current file size.

21. Now, the SAC server side installation is complete. We still have a few steps to do though. Now go back to your gamedata folder, and find me your startup .bat file for your server. I have named mine “server” (Note, if you do not have one, Continue reading a step or two ahead and I’ll show you how one is created.”)

22. Now,I’m going to right click and edit the “server.bat” file, so it shows me my command line information for my server.

The information reads

.\jampDed.exe +set fs_dirbeforepak 1 +set dedicated 1 +set net_port 29070 +set fs_game MBII +exec server.cfg

jampDed.exe and fs_dirbeforepak 1, are the most important commands in the line for SAC. In order for SAC to work properly you must be using “jampDed”. You must also be using the command “fs_dirbeforepak 1”. This may be for many of you your server side wasn’t working, the readme indicated a command that started with sv_. That was a small mistake that is not done for this. If you use that command, it should work properly

23.Now for those who do not create a server, this is where I teach you. Open wordpad.exe or some form of writing, and copy and paste the server parameters I mentioned up there. Then when you save it, save it as “server.bat”

24. Now, I double click “server.bat” and the server should startup, and when all the info finishes you should have something like this.

25. Success! I now have the AC icon around my server. (If you need this file to see the AC icon, it can be found here - ( http://www.moviebattles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29175 )

26. Now let’s make sure it 100 % has SAC, Click join, and boom!

There you go guys I hope this helps. If you’re installing this to a host, it follows the same exact way, except you’re uploading it ton the MBII folder, and you change the command line elsewhere.

If there are any issues that I missed or any troubles you’re having, feel free to comment here.

Gunman, will this work for ja+?

As far as I know it's possible to do this with JA+. Obviously you'd have to use and rename the JA+ binaries instead of the MBII ones

I don't recommend using it there though.

Nice guide. I can imagine this took awhile to make.

We should really change that string (on the go get SAC screen), since that domain doesn't work anymore.

Or just redirect that domain here.

Deathspike made it so SAC would work with any other mod a few months ago.

Doesn't this still come up as a virus, or was that fixed?

This can never be "fixed" -> however you can disable the flagging process using your virus scanner. (By that i mean, adding a exception)
