Ok was playing on tantive with a few people the other night... shaman had chose to be a droidekka.... it was ok for a round or two then suddenly when he tried to fire, you would see the animation but the thing wasnt actually shooting anything. This lasted for two rounds (i think) before shaman got fed up and became sumthing else.

I saw something else happen earlier today on 1 of the servers.

1 of our dekas went AFK for a while, and because we were in trouble, he left the deka firing down the corridor on jabba. (+attack)

The next round, and every subsequent round, the deka was firing continually (sfx and animation were playing), but no shots were being rendered.

So, perhaps this bug manifests itself if you end a round firing. (or start a new round firing)

TehJumpingJawa,

That indeed could be a very handy clue to this problem. It'd be nice if this could be confirmed. i.e. if indeed this problem happens every time you are firing at the end of a round (or possibly at the beginning I guess, although I think that's less likely to be the problem)...

i'll go test it on the public server now.

Team mates beware, Jawa has entered the Deka!!

:edit:

ok that isn't the cause.

What made the deka appear as if it wasn't firing,
is that when you spawn the camera is pointing directly down,
so the shots instantly hit the floor.

btw, off-topic.
Is the deka going to be slowed down somewhat?
it realy is very easy to exploit the deka on tantive =D

Charge across map, roll over 1 of the enemies heads to get some altitude, fly through the door, and w00t your team wins in less than 30seconds. :D

or that you get 2 dekas come flying down the corridor and take up positions at each end so your teams pinned down before you've even got out the door

I've had the bug where no blasts are fired but the animation works with the Droideka. Sadly, I can't give alot of details as it was mostly a random occurence. It happened on Jabba near the Rancor pit, so the cause is unknown.
