System: XP SP3
Antivirus: Avast
Firewall: None/Windows/Avast?
Addtional Software: None, my FPS is bad enough with just JKA :p

Issue: When playing on SAC Servers my ping triples (general average 20-30, SAC Enabaled at least 100-120) and I get minior FPS Hiccups (I can excuse the FPS since my system is pretty dated).

Tested the issue and it is only while SAC is active. Was playing on MovieBattles Official which didn't have SAC on and my ping and fps issues were non-existant.

Also tested on another Q3E Game SOFII MP Test and my ping was 15-20 on most servers.

Then upon rejoining the SAC Server (same session) my ping issues re-arose.

A few questions arise:


Did you try on server's from the same company (same continent, etc)?
Is SAC still installed when joining non-sac powered servers?
Please post a traceroute to 94.23.17.193 (CF#2, EV, etc).

Yeah CF#2 was the SAC Server I tried joining. Its the usual place I play so I know that my average ping there is 20-30 normally. But it is never below 100 anymore on that server.

Browsing the score sheet this isn't just down to my machine either. About 4 people had the same issue last night.

The non-sac server was the MB Official Server. And I got my usual ping that I used to get on CF#2 so I assume they are about the same distance away from me.

Yea, my ping seems to have gone up aswell but as its gone up i see no delay or any change just a higher number.

Noticed this too. Although it was about 20-30 higher as possible. Also noticed players got a higher ping than usual on a local (non-sac!) server I hosted.


A traceroute?
Start, Run, enter "cmd". Then enter tracert ip e.g. tracert 78.143.19.186 (sexy server / CF1 ip, and some others).

Getting the same problem, ping went up from 60 to 130.

OMG, from 50 it goes to 200 ! Pffff !

An updated has just been added, it will help with FPS issues and might have a positive effect on your ping as well :)

Ping is settled down to 50 :) I can live with that.
