Thought I'd make this a new topic to capture more interest. :p

For all those guys who are interested in making MB movies or just JKA movies here are some commands and stuff that can help you.

cg_draw2d 0 (gets away the hud)

cl_noprint 1 [it's either 1 or 0] (Stops writing up the top)

Recording tips: It is best to record demo's then use a program to record the demo's straight away live ingame because Demo's don't lag as much when you capture video with them.

How to record demo's:

/record then fill in what it says to activate the recording then put

/record nameofmovie

Then start up which mod you used to record it in and go to demo's play it and then record it with a recording device.

Recording Devices:

http://www.fraps.com

Game cam is probably the better one.

Though I used FRAPS because i only recently found out about gamecam.

Edit it with a program such as:

windows movie maker (I made mine with that)

Movie maker isn't the best, but I manage with it and it's really easy to use.

Well thats about it...

Something that will make your movies professional is to try to keep the camera still and only move when it is necessary (trust me on that LOL)

I am a bit guilty of that myself.

Please give feedback about this advice, and maybe add some more.

Glad to help and pass on my knowledge.

And to see my latest production go to: http://www.pcgamemods.com/11267/

Thankyou...

After you recorded a demo, view it and type a certain command (bah, forgotten it atm :|) and jka will produce screenshots of the movie (you can set how many in per seconds if I remember right). Then you have lots of screenshots in your screenshots folder which you can merge together and then make it into an avi.

Yes that is the old fashioned way lol...

I tried that and found it didn't turn out right...

Recording devices are much quicker the only downside is they take up heaps of space!

I hope you have found my information useful so we can have some more JKA movie makers...

Once you get the hang of it you'll make great movies I can assure you just remember to keep the camera straight, focus on story, suspense and good action.
