For those who missed the original and the best mb2 frag video, kenj has organised the new HQ link: http://godsdesire.org/lost/kj/Videos/mbt00.zip. Marvel as the best players from around the world feast your hungry eyes with big frags.
Note: this movie used about 110 demos and only took 3-4 months to complete (not 12 and counting ;))
watching it in better quality made me realize that it isnt that good in the end :o
the editing is good though, too bad there's no pug mode since b18 :(
Yeah, that's fair enough. I guess that you need to think of how long ago it was made and that nothing like this was ever seen before (at the time). Don't forget that it was made in early 2007.

tbh, he's probably built up too much hype about his video to live up to. Supa, do yours. You'll probably get it done months before Meta does. :P
Lack of material. :| All of my better stuff is in Meta's video already, as well as stuff sent to me by Gargos, Ben and Doll. x.x If I can persuade people to demo what they do on DSi crypt I will, however. I finally got Premiere Pro working properly, which is always good.
I would have some clips, except I can't record myself, unless I want to use an unregistered hypercam.

easy, just get the mb devs to turn off the anti cheat for demo watching. (it may be that the only way to do this is make a separate release with no anti cheat, which is crippled from joining actual servers but can watch demos...)

You can't just do the same thing you did before? (current build has no anti-cheat what-so-ever, it's like unprotected sex right now).

That's more or less already done via the separation of SAC from MBII, and your original release of pugmod should work with it. But apparently no one can find a copy. Could you provide one? :)

I have every version of pugmod ever released. All of the versions for base and also the pugmods from B18 that Teh/Dumbledore made for Kenji for Mbt00. However, I tried it in B19/Rc1 and so on and it wouldn't work whatsoever. If you want it though I can send it to you.

Mbt00 was the first ever and still the most professionally made frag video in Mb2. While there was far too much mando air killing, you need to get your facts straight Tock. Most of the Australian dV[8] were extremely good all-rounders, not just saberists or snipers.

I'm going to work harder to make only the E-11, Clone Rifle, Bowcaster, Arc Rifle, Arc Pistol, EE-3 and Westar scenes first person, rest will be third person (including sniper). I think the problem with that was I didn't have invert saber/melee on, so it wasn't automatically switching to melee, which means I had to do it on my own. :s
And you need to realize I play in first person, so naturally I'm going to want to make most of the frags first person as well.

That pugmod was the same Kenji used. That pugmod and the recent bugged up Mb2 pugmod are the only two ever made for Mb2.
The rest are for Base, which I have if you need it.

So would it be safe to say then that MBt00 was made not mainly for frags, but for the sake of having a professional video with high definition, well done editing, and epic music?
Excuse my traces of rage in my other post, I just think it's sad that sniping someone who happens to be moving in 2 directions instead of 1 is such a staple of so many videos ;_;
And supa how do you play in first person? It just feels so unrealistic and wrong without trueview, and even then it's even worse.

No. Kenji's taken a lot of flak over the years for the excessive amount of airkills in his vid, but suggesting the point of it wasn't to show cool frags is just insulting to everyone involved.
Which is why I included so many random moments, whether they be my stupid roll that saved me from a Sith flailing at me, or Doll's amazing ruptor streak. :P I did use a marginal amount of air kills because that's just how this game works.

k, assuming that's the correct version, Supa and I aren't able to get it to work with the current release of MBII; vm_create on cgame failed apparently. Usual fixes don't seem to help.
So, back to either waiting for someone else to fix the sourcecode for it that we've already got, or doing it myself(unlikely).

Meta, I wouldn't call Mbt00 1st MB2 frag movie ever, because there was at least few others movies which been "good" for the time when it was released, like Fragged by P3 or TK vs P3 frag movie; and that was far earlier than premiere of MBt00.

In P3's fragmovie you have at least this td by DR and few killing sprees by vriff.
Anyway those are only public frags... it doesn't even count as a fragmovie.
