Any chance that there could possibly be any Duel maps?
I mean theres only 1 server that runs Duel gametype MB....but hardly anyone goes there.
The duel gametype with the MB saber system would be good to practice 1 on 1/1 on 2(power duel) with sabers...with no infereance with being shot while dueling...
e.g;
Duel of the fates;
The duel between obi wan, qui gon and Darth maul...I know theres already a map of this but the game makers really screwed up the FPS for some of us and also the EP1_2003 thingy map sucks FPS too.
The Hanger;
EP2 duel with Anakin, Obi and Dooku, found at Jedimoves.com
Some other EP3 duel maps;
E.g Obi v G'G(Will there ever be a model for MB?),Dooku v obi and anakin, Anakin v Mace, Palpatine v Yoda???(never gunna happen...to MB)
Mustafar(Spelling?);
After the film could someone from memory create a duel map?
EP4 Death Star;
Obi wan and Vader....this duel sucks but still...its the first one we ever saw...
EP5 Cloud City;
Luke and vader....duke it out in the carbonite room, JK2 has this map...dont it, or someone could just block off the entrance from the MB cc map.
EP6 Death Star2;
Luke and Vader again, they muscle it out again with palpy over looking...
Just some ideas, but duel gametype with moive maps will be cool.
Well for the maps already there the only thing to do is run a server with them, and give links so people can download them. Duel maps need no conversion to MB afaik.
I've always loved duel gametypes. It saddens me jka dueling never took off as much. I wish mb2 dueling were more popular. A dedicated mb2 duel mode would be very cool, and I think we could really innovate the area. One for the back burner maybe.
Well toka already has a duel server so I guess if he found duel maps he liked he could just post links to em and say those are maps that will be on his server, because as alesh said duel maps don't need to be converted at all for mb use.
I was playing with bots once, and they 'jump' when they hit the saber....it must be part of the coding...and plus i Mblock them about 100000 times but they still wont drop their fecking sabers....
I use DOTF made by Shadriss from www.jedimoves.com , alot better FPS then the DOTF 2004 version by LDJ.
It also has the part where obi and qui gon vs maul in duel gametype.

the duels in ep 3 go as this:
obi wan , anakin vs. dooku ( obi ends up injured and leaving the duel)
obi wan vs greivious
sidious vs. windu, fisto, tinn, plo koon
sidious vs yoda
obi wan vs. vader (anakin without suit)

i cant see MB2 duels being any good, since its all centered around one hiy kills and all, itd just be random and such

I would like to see duel maps, or parhaps what would be a better idea, that in one place the Jedi and Sith fight, while in another the gunners fight.
For example, the hangar map, the gunners fight in the hangar while the Jedi and Sith fight in the power generator room.
That what I would like to see, so Sith and Jedi are playable, but away from the gunners, so they can fight without Sith and Jedi. The Sith and Jedi get to duel without gunners popping up and interrupting it with TDs/flame/general annoying stuff.

MB should remain like it is. Incorporate other game types and you run the risk of pulling in the wrong type of crowd for the mod. As seen from Forcemod. It could have been decent if the RPG crowd wouldn't have flooded it. I seriously doubt Azymn gets the same constructive feedback that we do.

Seriously though, you get two ends of the spectrum showing in general gameplay, one end wants Sith and Jedi removed as they are "overpowered" and force whores, while the other end wants Gunners to (I quote directly) "bugger off" while they duel.

Anyway, it isn't, in some ways I see that as false 'advertising'. But the freaking mod works, and I don't give a damn if it is Movie based or not.

Yes it could be good made some movie-duel maps but:
1)that maps would be better for basejka not for MBII, of course new style of maps would be cool (for me)
2)and u forgot on players who cant playing as a jedi/sith so for them this idea will be terrible and unfair.

Lol but neway it would be nice to not see so many n00bish jedi/sith running around with n00bsticks swinging wildly
....or on the other hand maybe it wouldn't ;)
