Hi... Since this is my first post here (and, consequently, since I'm a n00b :confused: ), I'd like to say that MBII is great ;) .
With that being said, there's a simple question that has been bugging me since yesterday. Are there any rules I should know about on the Tenebrarum server? I tried to play there yesterday and an admin kicked me after one round. Frankly, I don't know why and I'm not interested in having the community hating me :confused: . I googled the server's name, checked the server info and I couldn't find anything relevant :( .

Well, I'm not a Tene member (rare these days) but I believe the rules are no disrespecting admin, and no TKing..
This probably would be better suited to the PM system.
The rules should be on the Tene server thread if I'm not mistaken.
And welcome to teh MB community. I'm Tokakeke, the resident sexually frustrated teen. I have a dueling server open so if you want to practice using your lightsaber, come on in sometime.

Did you join a team that already had more players? I usually use force spectate for that but most admins don't know the cmd and will kick players. There is never any excuse for joining the larger team since you see exactly how many are on each team as you click the join button.

Well, usually, I try to join the losing team rather than the less populated one. As far as I can remember, both team had the same amount of players but I could be wrong...

You know, there could have been any number of reasons that you were kicked, and about all of them unfair. :p
I've seen the admins kick players so that they could get on the server, or kick someone who is killing them too much. Kicking them if they ask for a map change, because they are there, ect.
Any number of reasons. :p
Note that not all of the members of Tene are such...(edit)excuse me, jackasses.

Awww come on dav :) i know that command, but it simply won't do. If people can't count to keep the teams even you really think they'll understand why they were forced to spec? Some may but heres how it will go for the generic moron, "OMFG what happend?? why am i in spec??? *joins team again*"
I'll admit the random kicking was harsh, but its REALLLY rediculous when i have to tell people evvvvvvvveeerrrrry single round to fix the teams from their 2:1 ratios.
As dav said, IT IS NOT HARD to look at the join screen and join the team with less numbers. Joining to keep them stacked just cause you don't wanna lose is a bs reason and thus will get me and others mad again lol.
And to old sheep, i don't recall kicking anyone with that name, or anyone who had just joined (yes i was watching to make sure of that) but if i did, it was nothing personal. Just in the future join to make the teams even so the admins are not screaming at people every round.

I know it's not hard and, as I said, I always try to join the losing team (kinda boring when your teammates win the game leaving you entirely useless -- I also like to think that the winning team isn't necessarily the biggest one), I'll try to be more careful and join to make the teams even... Well, sounds like it's a good explanation, I'm happy to know I haven't offended anyone :p .

If I owned my own server I would simply ban anyone who joined the larger team. :p I am only have kidding too, it causes so many problems when a player deliberately joins a larger team. Players whine, players get mad, it messes up the balance of the game, the players who have been playing properly and dying for their team are now being told to switch, ect.

It's a bit antipathetic but I suppose it's still their server. Wouldn't it be possible/better to set reserved slots for the admins? I believe the server-side software for CS (Counter-Strike) has that option and it's probably the only thing I've ever liked about that game :p . Then again, I suppose it hasn't been implemented into whatever software is used to run a dedicated JK3 server...

Those sort of admins aren't real admins, Thier N00bs with power.
Anyway the basic rules of MB
Use Common Sence.
Common Sence includes but is not limeted to:
No Tking
No Joining the Disadvantaged team. (as much as possible)
No Repeated Vote Calling/Asking for Map Changes/....
Keep rude language/Actions/binds to a minimun.
No insulting Admins. (contact thier superiors)
Other things to Do if you get kicked, and don't know why. Come back and Ask Nicely,
Was I Deliberatly Kicked? Please tell me what for And do it nicly.
I know alot of Admins who say, a single kick is enough for most. After warnings and such. But if they come back, and Start going,
WTF you stupid Admin Whyd U ******* kick me you ***********
* If you see an admin on Tene Servers/stormis servers.... The head admins like to hear about that sort of thing, VIA PM/IM Davik Kang and Stormi/Achillies are the ones to contact.
** If you can't find one of the 2, Contact me, The Server, Server IP: and If possible Admins Name, and you playername, and what you may have done wrong.
*** The reason there are so many ********* is becuase most idiots have a way with swear words.

Yeah, those tene servers have admin problems, they even kicked me for lying:) Hehe, take han to falcon remember.
there are some fair admin(s) on tene. Majeh was a fair one. Course when hes pissed you know it.
I still think Rockman is Majeh.

lol sneaky sneaky sneaky... I've hardly been an unfair admin.. I kick bug abusers on sight /gasp! they shouldn't be doing them in the first place. I kick TKers after one warning (and FYI most TKers i kick are the ones that do it just to piss you all off). Lance can cry all he wants, hes annoying and usually comes right back.
I've never kicked someone that killed me or beat me in anyway lol.

Nah, just kick them if they are obviously abusing a bug and know it like the ammo bug. Stupid guy came back and told me it was an accident even though i specced him for 3 rounds and he did it every time :P.
That's like warning someone for aimbotting or blowing up your team at spawn. Everyone knows it is wrong.
However, there are some bugs that they might not know are really bugs so on those it is best to warn them.

Meh 99% of all bug users are doing it intentionally. So far i've only kicked wall buggers and the hilt bashers. Warned once for ammo bug.
