Movie Battles Movie Clip

Hey there,

A few guys said to post about this on the forums here, so i did. I just wanted to say that I released a Movie Battles filmclip a few days ago at pcgamemods some of you may like it, some may not. It shows everyday life on a moviebattles server and how crazy it looks from spectator lol with all the dets going off (tantive is crazy).

I didnt find it that good...to be honest.

If someone wants to make trailers for the MB mod, they would have to show;
1)How the saber system works (with a famous duel, Luke vs. Vader or Genosis Duel or D.Mual duel)
while=
2)Gameplay for gunners, showing every class teamworking with one another and SA mode, for instance....CC would have bespin cops, boba fett and stormies

3)Falshy writing wanting you to play this MOD e.g, 'WHAT IF YOU WAS IN THE MOVIES?'

4)Some proper SW music from main fights...ok this Movie has...U2...witch is good....o_o

Ok-ish movie, hope more realeases for MB trailers/movies come out, I might even have a go...

But really, if a person did make another trailer you should add quotes from the movie or what-not

seriously, pretty much all trailers i know don't explain much technically about the game, they work mainly on an emotional level and try to promote game elements like action, suspense, etc... rather than stuff like the fighting system...

Like the title suggests it's everyday life on a Movie Battles server, not really a trailer. I did it just for some entertainment and so some more people would join the MB community. Its more of a music video type of thing, rather than a trailer.

For all those guys who are interested in making MB movies or just JKA movies here are some commands and stuff that can help you.

cg_draw2d 0 (gets away the hud)

cl_noprint 1 [it's either 1 or 0] (Stops writing up the top)

Recording tips: It is best to record demo's then use a program to record the demo's straight away live ingame because Demo's don't lag as much when you capture video with them.


How to record demo's:

/record then fill in what it says to activate the recording then put

/record nameofmovie


Then start up which mod you used to record it in and go to demo's play it and then record it with a recording device.

Game cam is probably the better one.

Though I used FRAPS because i only recently found out about gamecam.


Edit it with a program such as:

windows movie maker (I made mine with that)

Movie maker isn't the best, but I manage with it and it's really easy to use.

Well thats about it...

Something that will make your movies professional is to try to keep the camera still and only move when it is necessary (trust me on that LOL)

I am a bit guilty of that myself.

Please give feedback about this advice, and maybe add some more.

It's long but with lots of cool fights I have rehearshed with some of my friends who I play jka with.

Actully they helped me develop the story so I wrote it down.

Dont film in JKA...EVER,

Use the cheats e.g

/Devmapall <NAMEOFMAP> with the MB mod, then you will have a great film o_o...

Devmapall doesn't work in multiplayer. You have to devmap a particular map to enable cheats.

I turned the dismember thing on but it only cuts off arms and legs, never seen it cut across the waist , did I set it wrong ? :confused:
