Black Screen of Death... weird!

Just reporting a weird bug/glitch? and I don't know if anyone else has gotten this, so I was playing on AOD (Don't throw rocks at me) and I was Jedi and I got killed next thing is that I was spectating some random guy in server and then he gets killed and then suddenly I get this black screen of death... I was able to see my mini-map and the status of my teammates in top-right screen and I was able to see chat and my crosshair, just my screen was frozen and all black but this is the 1st time seeing this black screen of death and next thing the round was over and everything got back to normal and didn't happen no more since I stood more time playing in the server! weird hhmmm...? is this known? if not just reporting in to the Devs about this, but yeah first time this happens to me and everything works fine just reporting this bug to you guys!

Mmmm.... IDK I mean I was able to move around and spectating others, but the wierd thing is that all my screen was black and would not restore to normal until the round was over.

I get alot/sometimes the spec bug where I'm stuck in sniper mode when someone is in sniping mode and I then I move to spectate someone else and I get stuck with sniper window until I randomly spec someone different with sniper mode and I get my view to get free and back to normal.

This has happened alot to me, just another spectator bug. Like I said, it has no effect on gameplay so I doubt the team would be willing to touch the code.

I had that report in the first day of RC2 release. Spec a guy that dies with a fall in kamino holes and you get the black screen of death. Problem is.. I CAN'T REPLICATE THAT BUG :(

Same general cause as getting scope images onscreen in spec, being zoomed in, etc, etc, etc.
Vortex seemed to think it was probably caused by flags not being cleared when you go to spec/change spectators... Could be true, haven't looked into it.
Might even be related to the stupid bugs that occur when you get randomly reassigned to the other team for no apparent reason.

Anyhow, this goes away on its own by the next round at worst, for anyone who's worried about it. And it's fairly rare, although a consistent means of replicating it would be appreciated.

I'm quite sure the scope bug and all these types of things happen when you switch to another guy to spectate the very moment someone turns on scope/falls into dark pit/whatnot. I could be wrong but this is how I think I usually get it. I fix it by spectating a guy who has scope and wait until he gets out of scope and avot, fixed.

a good remedy for any spectator bug (up to rc1 at least, not sure with rc3) is starting and stopping a demo. every spec bug I've had has been fixed by that. but again, i can't be sure for rc2-rc3.1 cause I have poopie fps problems, so i don't play that much D:

I love all the random spectator bugs. In fact, I want more ones, even weirder than the ones we have now. Make one where you see some people upside down. That would be awesome.

I hate how screwd up trueview is. You can see through your characters head and see their eyeballs and mouth, lol. Something wrong here?

TrueView is awesome. Just imagine your wearing someone elses face!
Like, I cut this guys head off, removed his face and cured it and now wear it as a mask. I kept the eyeballs in for effect.

wow seems I get the black-screen of DEATH on AOD only (since it's the most played U.S. server in MBII)... lol? but yeah it happened again not me other 3 guys got it with me 4 in the same time, but yeah round is over it's fixed. (forgot to take pic sorry next time) <3.

Watch a deka, and the split second which he/she is sabered, change spec to someone else. Then everyone has a seeker!!!

Feel free to adjust it as needed. trueview.cfg is available for all models/skins to address specific issues.
