Hmm... For V1... Yoshi (I'd also like to help.. He is a professional at trailers and such, but I'd love to be of assistance) should make grand trailer.... Then you should release gameplay footages... Meet the Class videos (It would be fun, really, if it would pay off)...
Any promotional stuff... You should ask GameTrailers to promote you.. Anything... It would definitely be worth it.
So, if any trailers are needed to be made, just PM me and I will find time and energy. Also, before you do any promotional stuff, redesign your website or at least update it.
I know I'm "telling you what to do"... But seriously...

Heh, there are some people on there that are alright though and that's why we wanted the trailer there.
Obviously not everyone is going to like it but hey, I bet most of the people who made negative comments are console fanboys anyway rather than PC gamers.

that vids lacks a lot of stuff, and I can see why they say the battlefront thing based on the video. Also, the closeups to the models arent really going to do anything but scare people away :C
yeah most of them dont kno what they are saying, Gt is a nice site tho and even nicer now the showed MB in SD n HD. i gave some thumbs up and down 10 points everytime i do it :)
I'm not sure showing one map is a great showcase of the mod. Our strength is gameplay and there is very little of it actually in that trailer.
Also, the closeups to the models arent really going to do anything but scare people away
Gotta admit, I thought that myself. I love those skins (I made 3 of those skins) but highlighting graphics on a 5 year old game isnt gonna impress.

On the subject of "advertising" Movie Battles, I figured I'd mention that simply telling people about Jedi Academy seems to be enough. A few guys I work with just randomly decided to start playing JKA very recently, and sure enough, they quickly found out about Movie Battles. Happened to overhear them talking about it this weekend. Was very strange. I even provided a couple of pointers about proper barbarianing.
Still, as Acid implied, showing off the gameplay of the mod would be a far better way to impress potential players. Honestly, I think it's time we got a trailer that actually showed gameplay from the player's point of view. First person gunner combat, saber and Force power use, all that stuff. Remember that trailer for Call Of Duty 4 that showed off some of the perks? That's the kind of stuff that we should be using to draw people in.
Still, if there's one thing about the graphics that's worth showing off, it's the smoke effects. No other Star Wars game (and very few games in general, to be quite honest) has such visually interesting combat.

This video is actually titled Movie Battles II: Arc Rifle Trailer... not to be mixed with official full blown gameplay of Movie Battles II, which features much more variety and depth. This trailer focuses specifically on the Arc class and his deadly Westar M5 (Arc Rifle).

Mace's trailers/material is just as good as Yoshi's. It would have been better if a proper trailer had been put on GT instead of this mis-labeled video, but any publicity is good publicity.

I work at www.scottrade.com and many people know about MB2. Some even play lan games after hours on work PC's. There's also a few former game developers from a couple major game studio's that work here. One I know of came from Sony Online Entertainment department. ;)
I also get invited to very boring Microsoft gaming nights at their corporate building down the road.

Where exactly did I say that the misscommunication was the maker's fault? Opposite, I've actually read the post and comments and know it's due to the missnaming by GT.com.
