Two things: 1 observation and 1 question....
1) Utter ****, godmode tripe.
2) Why does everybody run like a crippled, hunchback, goblin?
Meh this game was meant to be crap from the beginning.
I actually enjoyed watching all the youtube Cutscenes from beginning to end, probably more than I will playing the game. As a stand alone story I liked it alot, as part of the star wars universe canon, not so much.

A massive.... Space station!!!!! dundunduuuuun
Wow, that was R-E-T-A-R-D-E-D.
I really feel sorry for anyone buying this lol.
Bad game, overpowered god character, now when I look at Vader and the Emporer I see two weak fools.

Gameplay elements aside, what I saw in the video really did give me the "Star Wars" vibe. Starkiller seems to be a likeable character.
I don't think the events depicted in the game can or should be considered canon, but that doesn't mean it can't be an entertaining Star Wars story. It deserves a rental at the very least, in my opinion.
Godmode character. Idiotic. They keep coming up with 'ZOMG MOST POWERFUL FORCE USER IN HISTORY'. They keep trying to top themselves.

No insanely powerful escapist fulfillment character would be complete without the sulky adolescent posture.

Are they ****ing done with it now? Can they finally make another game now and stop the hype around it?

Yeah - I like the reasoning some people gave earlier on, i.e., that as a standalone story it's not so bad, but for Star Wars, and Star Wars CANON (which the first ending apparently is...) it sucks major monkey nuts.
I actually liked the dark ending somewhat, as even though Vader got ass bitten by "chump", "chump" got to let out a girly scream when he realised he was mega-boned. ALso liked him being turned into a "Big Daddy"; WHEERE R UR GODMODZ NOW, 'HORE?!
I liked the Dark Side ending more, but it still wasn't very good.
Also, I don't see how the light side ending, or the entire story in general, could be canon. Other than the fact that there's NO mention of him at all in the movies (waits for the LIMITED LIMITED EDITION Trilogy with Starkiller blue glowy; trust me, it'll happen. MORE MONEY LOL!), there's already a lot of EU story surrounding the formation of the rebellion, which Starkiller is not part of.
Speaking of the blue glowy added thing. While I was half joking (though I really wouldn't be surprised to see it tbh), imagine how it'd be by the time Lucas is done ****ing everything up. 10 years down the road, Luke will be at the party on Endor, and while rigt now we're looking at the appearance of a fourth blue glowy, eventually there'll be this mass crowd of guys no one ever heard of that Lucas created and threw into canon. It'll be a sad, yet somewhat comical day, when that happens.

You gotta be kidding me ...
**** Lucas and him tailoring the whole legacy into something unbelievable for a medicore computer game.
The Rebel Alliance being born because of Starkiller... that guy tossing around Vader and the Emperor like they were toys.
This game surely is more retarded than I could have ever expected.

One thing that doesn't add up, though:
When he dies and turns all force ghosty, Vader and Palpatine stand over his corpse and Palpatine says "he has become more powerful than we could imagine now" or something like that, which is pretty much exactly what Obi-Wan said in episode 4.
Now, the problem with this is that (and this is my interpretation) the whole thing in episode 4 was based around the fact that Vader didn't know about the force ghost power thingy. I mean, if he knew about it, he wouldn't have killed Obi-Wan, now would he?
Palpatine wasn't talking about that glowy power. He goes on to explain, basically, that Starkiller will bring a hell of a lot more resolve to the Rebellion, and that, by saving them, he's furthered the Rebellion's power. Basically he's a Martyr, and Palpatine was just acknowledging that.
Also, that woudl be, of course, assuming that's what Obi Wan was talking about. He could have been talking about any number of things. He was a mysterious man. He could have been talking about his death acting as the lifting of any further restraints on Luke, who, to that point, was over relying on Obi Wan as a Mentor, and not being independent or confident enough in himself.
I know TFU deserves no defense at all, given how terrible the story is in relation to the rest of Star Wars, how cheesy that ending is, and how terrible the game seems to be in general, but I can't let it be attacked for no reason, since it already has enough holes to sink a ship. Let it die the pathetic death its set up for itself.

That's possible. But why the choice of words? Why has 'he' become powerful? Palpatine doesn't care about a dead guy. If he was afraid of the Rebellion growing balls, he would have said just that. Him being a Martyr? Hardly anyone knew his name. Pretty much nobody remembered him. As far as anyone was concerned, he was a nobody.
If he did mean what you said, it's pretty fail from the devs to make him spout Obi-Wan's line tbh.
Also, that would be, of course, assuming that's what Obi Wan was talking about. He could have been talking about any number of things. He was a mysterious man. He could have been talking about his death acting as the lifting of any further restraints on Luke, who, to that point, was over relying on Obi Wan as a Mentor, and not being independent or confident enough in himself.
Again, why the choice of words? He said he himself will become more powerful, which I believe meant he will be able to guide Luke without restraint (he was an old man after all). It's true Luke wasn't independent or confident, but I think it's his learning Vader was his daddy more than Ben's death that fixed that part. Meaning to say, even after Ben's death Luke relied on him so much. It was when luke was bangling below Cloud City and saying "Ben wtf man where are you noob?" that the 'click' took place.
Meh, I could very well be wrong about all this, but whether I'm right or you're right, it's pretty weak.
That's possible. But why the choice of words? Why has 'he' become powerful?
As a Martyr.
It's true Luke wasn't independent or confident, but I think it's his learning Vader was his daddy more than Ben's death that fixed that part.
It's actualy kind of the opposite. That shattered his confidence a little bit. As he recovered from it it started to connect what Ben's intentions were and what he had to do. It was the final confrontation with Obi Wan on Dagobah in RotJ that finished it off, though.

Lucasarts board meeting figures that:
"Unlimited power + player --> unlimited corruption of taste and complete retardation --> unlimited fun in an otherwise mediocre game."

That ending is awesome. Wouldve been better if he rebuilt vader again though, so even that ending would fit the movies.

Actually reading the Dark Horse comics it seems that that wtfpwnt look of near death has happened to him lots of times...yet he has always been repaired, so like it's kinda obvious it's gonna happen.

Agreed, sadly.
Secret Apprentice
I lol'd.
Either you guys didn't see any of the endings, or you're just really dumb. By the end of the game, he's no longer a secret anymore. Not only does Palpatine know about him, but the entire leadership of the Rebel Alliance knows about him. Not only that but all of them end up owing their life to him when he sacrifices himself for them. Without that sacrifice, the rebellion would have been completely snuffed out right then and there... which would probably come up in the OT, which is why making something THAT significant was a stupid idea.
