View Full Version : Some maps stuck at full bar
Ok, this has probably been reported, and supposedly it was fixed with RC3, but that'd be wrong. Mygeeto loads all the way up and sits there. I open task manager and it says it isn't responding. So I load up Project CoR v2 (just released yesterday on the CoR forums) and it does the same thing. I just tried reinstalling MB2...at least with the old files, as I can't seem to d/l full RC3 off of the main download page due to some downloads suspended thing.
I've tried doing cvar_restart, removing replacements, with Project CoR v2 re d/ling the map, and then finally reinstalling (which I'll try again). So any help? :p

Happens to me too, both in RC2 and RC3. After the bar is full, nothing happens, it just stays so for infinite time. The only way to fix it is open the console, type /recon and hope that you manage to join next time.
I think it happens when other ppl load the map faster than you and the serv is full when you are ready to join. Because often after i type /recon it says the serv is full. Althogh i might be wrong.
Problem is, I can't open console, xfire, or anything. It's just frozen and I have to close it with task manager. :P
Downloading RC3 patch 1 to see if it works. :P

If I'm not mistaken this is older than the kyle bug.
Just bring down the console and type /recon ( if you can't do this then it's an entirely different bug)

Can you guys bring down the console?
If you recon what happens?
The bug that various people have mentioned is caused by you not loading the map before the round ends. When a round ends, the server "resets" and the clients that connected before get lost.
Like I have said before, I can't bring the console down at all or even open the xfire window. Also, it has nothing to do with clients loading in or the map switching as I just go to create server and then Mygeeto and it just freezes once the bar loads all the way. :P
This is a new bug I believe and has nothing to do with the /recon bug. If it was that, this thread wouldn't be here. :P

Yes Xadus is experiencing the same issues as me.
I've had this since B17...
Just bind /recon to a key and press that key... small inconvenience
That doesn't work....can no body read or something? The entire game freezes. You can't recon, you can't open console, you can't do ANYTHING! I'm getting really tired of the same response over and over when I've stated the same thing over and over. >.<
Lemme restate problem: I start a server up to play Mygeeto or Project CoR v2, and the loading bar goes all the way to end and then the ENTIRE game freezes. Console won't open. A bound recon button won't work. Nothing will work. This has never happened before. It is an RC2/RC3 bug. This is NOT the typical bug where you must /recon to fix it.

The basic message is, the whole JAMP.exe crashes and forces you to end process.

When you do /recon, your JKA DIES.
It's nowt to do with my map loading and nowt to do with my score.
When I /recon, it crashes, always. (Since RC2).
Wut. I don't /recon because I can't. :P

Not so small for people with older computers... mine (1GB DDR, radeon 9600, 2.0 GHz, etc, etc) took a few minutes to load a map.

Prilla, remove your hacks. /recon works just fine for me.
Xadus, I'm sorry, I missed your last post. Are you sure you're using the latest binaries? (Latest MBII.pk3?) I can't reproduce this.

Xadus...have you tried /disco or /quit or hitting esc?
I have a similar problem. It happens to me all the time and for some reason I repeatedly get Exception 16. It also takes forever to connect to a server but the maps load in less than 20 seconds often.

Well I redownloaded MB2 today (RC3 Patch 1 full) and basically reinstalled the entire game, so I'd assume I have the latest ones.

RC3 P1 didn't reduce my loading times and now /recon really crashes the game. :(

I've been putting them in the MB2 folder...but like I said I d/led the RC3 P1 FULL, so I don't really have to update it. >.>
and Walrus, I can read you twat. They can't apparently. :P
Could this be a JKA problem..? It seems that even with a fresh install of MB2 doesn't do the trick at all. Would the best solution be to reinstall JKA and see if that fixes it?

Maybe or maybe not Xadus :p
Ok...apparently reinstalling JKA does not fix the problem. This is just pissing me off that this is happening. Weird thing is, I played Mygeeto once, and that was the only time. I don't know what the hell happened, but now it + Project CoR v2 aren't working still. So, because JKA wasn't the problem, I'm putting this problem on MB2 itself. Can those of us who are having this problem, like Zerobot and me, get a fix please? :(
Hmm....so now I tested Theed Streets, and that doesn't work, which probably explains why Project CoR v2 isn't working, but doesn't explain why Mygeeto isn't working. :P
its happened to em now and then i normally just press escape and rejoin server..but meh i dunno

i get this all the time...
its only on large maps it seams
like Jedicouncilgcx if you play JA+
if you take too long loading in you get stuck there
just recon

Read the thread please.
So can we please get any fix or reply or any kind of help to fix this problem? I really wanna play Project CoR v2. :(
Ok so running it in Vista didn't help (I'm doing a dual-boot system), uninstalling AVG didn't help, and running in windowed mode didn't help...so NO CLUE!
I CAN PLAY MYGEETO AND PROJECT COR v2 AND ALL THOSE MAPS AGAIN!
I just installed new video card drivers, new version of daemon-tools, and used a different image to mount with. ;D

I also updated my video drivers and got the latest daemon tools, I can now also load up Mygeeto.
So it was either a video card problem or daemon-tools. I really don't know why I didn't think of this earlier....this thread was carried out way too long. :P

Im having this problem too, only the fix that worked for you has nothing to do with mine.
I have the latest daemon-tools and i just fully updated my drivers the other day, and got to play maybe one or two matches on DotF in a busy server.
Then when i got home later that same day, it just stopped working. Either it never gets past a fully loaded bar at the loading screen or it lets me in finally and gives me an extreme zoom in of my characters head and a flashing cable icon with the words "Connection Interrupted" above the Round starting countdown, which is permanently stuck at "1...".
I know this isnt an issue with my own internet since it obviously worked just fine for me before and now i cant even play MB anymore (I can play base JA and JA+, but not MB).
Anyone know what i should do about this? (and im not trying to hi-jack the thread, this thread just happens to be relvant to the issue im having :P)
You could always try adjusting your /snaps /rate and /cl_maxpackets?

The bug that various people have mentioned is caused by you not loading the map before the round ends. When a round ends, the server "resets" and the clients that connected before get lost.
Recon is broken, so you freeze, now i just /quit and find a new server.
