View Full Version : A new improved join bug
I was playing manda, and I died, so then i changed to BH, and set my points. Yet the next round i spawned as a no point manda. Odd, right? And when i hit the class config key as this no point manda, it showed me as a BH with all my points :<

it's simple. if you had gone to the console you would see
"Warning: Too many info changes, last info ignored". That's an engine issure btw ;)
the console says that regularly about setting points, and has so for many moons and builds. It is to be ignored.
Lol in the round before that happened to Goose, I got switched from a BH to a Sith in the same exact fashion.

don't ignore it. just hit your class config key and enter 2 or 3 times before the round starts. that's what i do.. i don't have to deal with the too many changes issue anymore :/

Therefore the Name b19 in the earlier builts. B19 just means Bug 19 <.<

Do you devs even talk to eachother or do you just release stuff and that's broken to then have someone else say a few days after release, "OH LOLZ I NEW HOE TO DO DAT! KEK! SHUDOV ASKD ME!"

this isn't a bug though. the engine intentionally does this >_>
too many info changes -> no changes.
i'm guessing it was meant to be anti-crash code for the original multiplayer? or something.
it does grim, but usually the no info changes have no effect. A follow up: I lagged too much to set any points today after i joined a server and chose BH class, but it spawned me with a lvl1 dlt20a anyway

Isn't it a server type thing ?
Windows servers you don't get the msg & Linux servers you do!
