View Full Version : Mustafar, Kamino and Star Destroyer + Battlefront 2 Campain?

I mentioned this on a diferent thread when it was still B19 but now all the mapos are practicly there all they need is a small edit and a new FA.
The idea is recreating 3 quite unique missions from the Battlefront 2 Campain in MB2.
for those unfamiliar:
Kamino Rebellion: The Kaminonians rebel and create the "Anti-troopers" (clones with diferent loyalty programing) and the 501st stormtrooper legion is sent to put a stop to it.The current Kamino map would be perfect (after replacing the sep landing craft with a Lambda shuttle) The seps would be replaced by the 501st and Boba Fett while the clones could remain more or less the same (Anti-Troopers wore phase 1 armor for some reson) exept removing the jedi and any tweaks to balance them with imps.
Return of the Separatists: A rogue Geonosian attempts to recreate the CIS army using a secret droid factory on Mustafar the 501st is dispached to stop him but their star dstroyer is suprised by a fleet in orbit and is boarded by droids. Star Destroyer map would be perfect for this stage. A droid task force attempting to sabotage the ship before it defeats the fleet. Only real change to the map would be replacing the Shuttle in reb spawn with a sep landing craft.
Mustafar: After defeating the space forces the 501st preform an attack on the facility in order to procure the plans for a new generation of battledroids before bombarding from orbit comences. Current battle for mustafar would work great only replacing anakins fighter with a shuttle.
Sh*t, I could probably write up some FA files for them, but BF2 isnt all that good anyway.
I like Mustafar and Kamino FA the way it is so no.
As for Star Destroyer that sounds kinda eurgh.

Well i didnt mean to replace them. What i ment was creating separate maps like it was done with Prison, Prison_CW and Prison_Raid.
I like Kamino and Mustaffar FAs aswell, especialy Kamino (Grapple Droids at last :P)

Yes, it is do-able... But will be waaaaaaaaaay too boring.

Mustafar, GCW, Darth Vader vs. Some Guy with bland mix of Storm Troopers and Droids.
Kamino, GCW, Boba Fett vs. Some Super ARC with a bland mix of Storm Troopers and Clones.
Star Destroyer, GCW, Palpatine vs. Han/Leia/Luke with a bland mix of Storm Troopers and Rebels.

My vote goess to Kamino Boba Fett and the white people who happen to be his fathers(while he is also his father)versus the versions of his father that actuly dont fight for the empire.I mean this coud be the best mappah evah!

i think it would be cool if you could put Fa maps back to back but make the time longer like 10 minutes and multiple reinforments but then... based on the outcome of the map whether imp/rebs win or whatever.... the next map would change its class selection or something to somewhat make it like you are controling things

Alpha, if you made it, I thought i'd tell you that Anakin can get stuck in the landing position, he can then slide around the floor, it's rather lolzy tbh oh and this isn't so much to you but the saber can sometimes bug and it deflects one shot 5 millions times or so, as if it got wedged in the saber, and the flamer guy is OP D;
Also why is it that as soon as mappers get a new toy like...the flamer guy, TD rockets, grapple people, Desann and Tavion, why the hell do you need to put it in EVERY FA seriously it ruins the novelty of them.
Because rather than having a normal "boring" FA that's like the movies, they're trying to accomplish a sort of movie battles circus with as many of the FA features crammed in as possible, especially the new ones.

/agree. With every build, the mod moves further from the movies. A good FA maker's job isn't ONLY to balance each team, Alpha, and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=46iBFQwRqi4 (4:24).

Your comparing a round based game to a 1995 bad movie?
I suggesting that if they keep moving away from the realistic battles idea then why don't they just call it "Star wars battles 2"

Due to that sounding crap, it is the same principle for the Batman Forever example, they couldn't call it Batman This Movie Is Totally ****.
