a few ideas for map like these were crawling around my mind for some time but i thought the weapons couldent be done right. However i have found out abit about weapon classflags and now i think its doable. My main idea is Stormies boarding a starfleed vessel.

Back story:

Star Trek Side: USS Jagello, an intrepid class starship (like Voyager) is testing a prototype slipstream drive. However during the test something goes rong and the crew looses controll of the slipstream. Whenthey finaly manage to colapse it they find them selves in another galaxy and suronded by unknown ships which demand surrender. Not willing to surrender the Captain attempts to escape but the ship is eventualy disabeled and boarded.

Star Wars Side: While patroling a region in the outer rim an imperial task force detects an unknown ship violating imperial space. After the vessels captain declined to surrender the imperials attack and disable it. Insdead of finishing it off the imperial commander decides to send a boarding party in order to find out where the vessel came from and who it belongs to.

Map:
Imperials start in the Jagiellos shuttle bay. Their task is to get to the bridge and hack the main science console in order to download the information needed by the commander. A secondary objective is getting to Enginering and shutting down main power, thus shutting off all the forcefields and disabelig the magnetic locks on some of the doors. Feds (spawn in enginering and the mess hall) simply have to hold the imperials off untill the time runs out and the ships drive is repaired.

My basic layout idea is: 4 levles (bottom, central, top and bridge)
Shuttle bay and enginering are on the bottom level. For fast connection a transporter room (near enginering) is connected to a cargo transporter in the cargo bay (top level). The cargo bay is magneticly sealed (either the power is shut down or the door needs to be hacked to open for imps) and theres a console on the outside which allowes the feds to hack it and decompress the cargo bay. Central level is just holodecks and crew quaters but is the only way to get to the top level (excluding the transporter of course). Top level contains the mess hall, cargo bay and 2 turbolifts leading to the bridge.
also there are several forcefields blocking the corridors on all levels. Feds only need to press a conol next to them to get thro but imperials need to hack it. (or shut the power off of course)

And a few FA class proposals:
Imperials:
mot of this is arguable, many classes are possible since this is a regular imperial strike force but i have an idea for 1 special class.

Support Droid:
Model: same as Bounty Hunter Droid skin in open.
Description: This droid was designed as a support unit during assaults on bases and boarding actions. It is equiped with a bacta injection system to provide medical assistance to injured soldiers, an ammunition dispenser, a plasma cutter (blue flamethrower) to cut thro bulkhead doors and a sentry turret to form a defensive perrimiter. It is also equiped with a state of the art, universal computer interface which allows ith to hack in any computer system with ease (fasthack). For defensive purpouses it is equiped with a wrist mounted blaster which is unfortunatly prone to overheating.

Feds:

Crewman: The generic unit. armed with just a standard issue phaser (using classflags, a pistol shooting primary disruptor beams, maybe a bit stronger)

Security Officer: Armed with a phaser and a Compression Rifle (an A280 in disguise, fireing orange bolts)

Hazard Team Leader: Tough unit armed with a modified compression rifle (lv 3 EE-3 in disguise) dodge, 3 or 2 and a forcefield emmiter

Hazard Team Tech Specialist: armed with a regular Compression rifle, and pulse nades

Hazard Team Demolishions Expert: Armed with a Compression rifle photon grenades (frags) and a Quantum Burst launcher (PLEX in gisguise)

Hazard Team Medic: Compression rifle, healing, and ammo.

Hazard Team Hevy Weapons Specialist: armed with a advanced compression rifle (shotgun)

Captain: armed with an enhanced phaser (charged shot works like a ruptor secondary?) and has fast hack (he has the highest level of access)

Anyone willing to lend a hand with this? i can provide "borrowed" materials from Elite force 1 and 2 to help with this. both games are Q3 engine so converting it shouldent pose a problem. I could also give the FA a try myselfe but maping it is beyond my skills.

Oh and if anyone wants to post a OMGZ NOES STAR TRECK SUCKZORS type of comment. Please just ignore this thread and move along. Besides with this map you could vent some anger at the trekies ;)
