I seem to be rubbing off on the Euro Dv8's too. Merc came and played in an epic game of Geonosis Canyons FA with me, Linds, Valcor and loads of others a few hours ago.:D

Congrats... so when shall we expect a write-up?
Hic said he would do it when he left a scrim between Fixes and Team Prodigy, but he never did it. I'll pursue him tomorrow.
o.o that means... Fairies vs Fixers?
Disney Fairies are Uppercuts tbh.
Lies and deception. The Disney fairies are team members. ;)

So where's scheduling stuff for this done, anyhow...

Well seeing as the Disney Fairies are Marvel Academy and half their match members are from the Mb2 team, the Uppercuts must be in bed with the Mb2 team! IT'S A CONSPIRACY!
And now that the Fixes won their match, a representative/captain of Marvel Academy needs to speak to a representative/captain of the Fixes and organise a match time for sometime this week (deadline is the end of next weekend):

Sorry, after the scrim with tP I ran off to my friend's birthday party so I didn't have time for a write-up.
Did it this morning, though, albeit a tad hung over because I couldn't fall back to sleep.
Oh, Grats for the teams who won btw.

Well we're half-way through the second round of preliminaries, and here are the latest results:
Daemon Vice Eternal defeated D-Generation (7-2 YavinAssault) (Non-Elimination preliminary match)
A fairly dominant performance by the Dv8 boys over the DG fellas. Highlights included Ben being the last player alive, as Jedi, and instead of running for a time win with five seconds to go he tried defusing the placed bomb when it wasn't even close to detonating; Lervish single-handedly winning a round as the last player on defence; the server owning Fraek and causing numerous voids; a rather confusing win to DG in what could have been a void round.
Team Prodigy defeated C-Crew (8-7 Cloud City) (Non-Elimination preliminary match)
Easily the best match of the tournament with loads of epic twists and turns. Team Prodigy started off very strong on defence and were raping C-Crew, until the C-Crew fellas got their act together and started dominating. They took out the first half 5-3. In the second half, the TP fellas did a camp on the area around the Slave. When C-Crew looked down and out in the first round of the second half, Hotshot did probably the best clutch play I've ever seen in a competitive Mb2 match. He flew right into their defence of 4 players, rocketed one of them, flamed the Jedi, shot the area up to hell, until his sole surviving teammate came in to assist. The rest of the match was topsy-turvy, with Team Prodigy holding them off well, and C-Crew left ruing a few missed opportunities to rush in and take them. Still though, an epic match and well deserving of a non-elimination final.
The Fixes defeated The Disney Fairies (8-3 Corellia) (Elimination preliminary match)
The Fixes were pretty dominant through most of the match, although Jasmine (Magma) and Aladdin (Mcbober) were very impressive as the main saberists and gunners on their teams in the respective halves. A strong effort on defense saw the Fixes pull home with the wind at their backs.
I'm still pretty annoyed they mucked up the times so I couldnt get to play :'(
It was a pretty fair match seeing as we didn't have anything close to our full team. Out of the 9 members we were missing Harken who was out with his girlfriend (Thanks for telling him about the match, Synyster -_-), Skittles who is out camping and will be back for the next match hopefully, Chucky who had to work today and Homefri who disappeared again (No surprise). Overall it was a fun match and thanks to tP for giving it your all. <3

Hey guys, there's nothing to see here, it's just Supa making up excuses because his team lost. Move along.

Perhaps you could also update which teams are left and what the "bracket" looks like? It's pretty hard to figure out who's out and who's in from just a list of matches...

Well it hasn't been a knockout tournament until the finals, so it would have been a little difficult. The non-elimination matches happened fairly separately, with the qualifying finals being the only matches leading to the elimination matches. The teams that played each other in the quarters were determined on round margin wins and overall winners, making a 'tournament tree' pretty much impossible until the quarter-final stages.

Most of the quarter-final matches have been completed.
Daemon Vice Eternal defeated Corruption Force (Euro QF):
I caught a little of this match. Gargos from Corruption Force won the pistol duel and elected to defend first on their map, DOTF. In both halves, dv8 dominated C Force, especially with Blunt's freakish skills. Kudos to C Force for capturing two late rounds on DOTF. I didn't catch the rest of the match on Corellia as I had to go, and Blunt STILL hasn't posted the write-up:mad:, but dV[8] won and proceed to a semi-finals date with either Crazy Hunters or JAC.
D-Generation defeated NovaHawk (Euro QF):
From what I've read on the tourney forums nH got flogged by DG, something which I'm sure Varlesh will remind Zhao whenever he gets annoying or bitchy.:p DG won 11-0 on Lunarbase and Ben posted another epic write-up.
Team Poland defeated FinneLite (Euro QF):
Like the DG v nH match, Team Poland smashed FinneLite in a rather one-sided match. They won 11-1 on Corellia and DOTF and will proceed to a date with some Dirty Girls in the semi-finals!
-----------
Only two and a half matches remain. CoR v C-Crew which will be played out on Monday evening/night. Then there is the blockbuster showdown between the Fixes and Dekas in the Vents occuring sometime this weekend. Lastly, while the JAC v Crazy Hunters match was played out, due to a breach of rules, the match will be played from 5-5/second half onwards.
