Sorry for this slightly redundant thread, but mods please leave this open and simply delete any inflammatory posts. This needs to be said or this tournament is going to turn into a complete disaster.

Fellas, this tournament is a competitive event. You've been given the opportunity to make or join a team and enjoy one of the largest competitions ever held in Mb2. But while this is a competitive event and there will be winners and losers, it's also a chance for everyone to have some fun. You can say what you like about Mb2, but it's clear the clan and competitive side is declining. There are hardly as many clans, or calibre of clans as there used to be in B17 or what not, and certainly no clans even scrim or match each other much anymore. CoR has to often push other teams just to scrim, same for the few other select clans that are still interested in the competitive side of the game.

I've noticed over the last week a progressive rise in tempestuous and inflammatory behaviour by a number of you. The Uppercut removal from the tournament, the pornographic spam on the Mb2 forums, and this progressive antagonism shown by some of you to each other is starting to make this tournament distasteful and uncomfortable. The aim of this is to have fun and be competitive. It's possible to be competitive and still act in good sportsmanship and have fun at the same time.

Lastly, I don't know if you guys know or care, but I have been incredibly busy lately. I am so bogged down in study that I have a backlog of an absolute ****load of work to do, from my movies, sports, and loads of other stuff that has fallen by the wayside until this really heavy workload is over. And yet I've still somehow gone and organised this tournament for you all. Why? Because Mb2 deserves and needs the competition and I thought you guys would relish the prospect of an awesome tournament like this. Today I came on and saw my American draw thread turn into a flaming nightmare and as I read it, thoughts of 'wtf am I doing organising this tournament if this is how it's going to turn out?' and 'why did I even bother' crossed my mind. I'd like to ask you all to PLEASE just grow up and stop acting like immature, teenage testosterone-charged Neanderthals who treat attacks against their 'Mb2 skill levels' almost like an attack against the size of their penis.

Let's turn a new leaf here guys. Instead of some of you acting like idiots and being ringleaders for flaming, how about you all just calm down and enjoy this tournament for what it is: A gaming event designed to unite the Mb2 community in the goals of fun and competition.

If someone accuses your clan of doing something you believe to untrue, then choose from the following:

1. Either post a polite rebuttal of their argument and then ignore them
2. Ignore them

Lastly, the only drama in this tournament should be about the matches. OMG TEAM POLAND V CH! C-CREW V TEAM PRODIGY! DV8 V DG! OMFG these matches are amazing! Keep the inter-clan, inter-player drama to a minimum.

your problem AgentX, is that you don't understand the concept of competition. I don't know what kind of life you lead, but I would be surprised if you tried to tell me you engage in any athletic competition. Talking light **** is part of the game. Flipping out and swearing all over the place with poor sentence composure due to such is not part of the game. Laughing, presenting a challenge, that kind of stuff is how it's supposed to be. Reacting to that by flipping out and making angry, sarcastic marks all over the place is not how it works. My problem came when you started that. Palin was not out of line, Stunna was explaining it, and then you flipped out at both of them. If Radiance says you use wall hacks, it'll be easy enough for the demo recordings, refs, and spectators to see that, so a simple "We'll see" would have done fine there. You claimed to be laughing the whole time but you're the only one in that entire thread raging about everything and telling everyone you're going to annihilate them.

And THIS is the reason tournaments like this don't work very well. The attitude of gamers in a competative setting is terrible.

I have actually done some sport activitys, but nothing on the scale of say Hockey or Lacrosse. Track,Basketball,Soccer, simple things.

In the last tournament Magnum almost had to back out vs DitV because we had 3 and they had 5. We got one more last minue and played the match as a 4 v 5. Backing out doesn't always say anything about anything.
And while swearing doesn't mean someone's angry (never said it did), the manner in which your posts were constructed made you appear to be angry unless you were just taking the simple concept of **** talking mush too far(which is usually pretty brief and just a simple way of intensifying the competition... if you've done more than 2 sentences, you're already way overdoing it). And you can still prove with the members that are taking part in the tournament that you're not using Wall Hacks; no crusades necessary.

If you really want me to stop, I'll just drop it, but since this is a competition, it would probably be a good idea to explain to everyone in the competition what competition really is before it starts or you're going to have a lot of problems in this tournament. Though it's your mistake to make, so I'll stop posting anything at your request, kick back with a bowl of popcorn (even though I ****ing hate popcorn) and watch everything I know is going to happen, happen.

The fixes were going to be in the qualifying group for the tournament, but when I found out that Hic, Corsair and Cronus were playing for the fixes it obviously raised the overall skill level of the team out of the 'qualifying group' but by then it was too late to change the draw around.
