sum changes for deka

add strafe
delete turning rate // make it full // replace with regeneration time (ammo & shields)

also, dekas can walk with shields on (i mean in battlefront) what ya think about it?

Ok, imagine this, a deka walks towards you stops to fire its guns then carries on - all this time its shields are up and you only have a blaster pistol - how on earth are you going to kill it.

The only thing I can agree with is the strafe modification. Like in the movies, the Droideka should be able to strafe, even if it is not that fast. The weapon/shield enhancements would make it too powerful in my opinion.

If it could walk with shields, a meter needs to be drained from doing that, when fully depleted leaving no shields. Then after the shields recharge, it should start weaker then eventually be back to full power. Movement should make shields weaker, in short.

They need weapon overload/overheating too. It would be great to see one blow up from overusing a power cell. :D

Or maybe you should have to pay for shields like this, the Droideka starts off with no shields. The earlier models of Droidekas didn't have shields s'far as I can remember off the Star Wars website. (I think)

if the dekas had all that, every other class would suck, cause the best way to kill them now is with a jedi using blue stance, if it could strafe it would be too powerfull.

hmm i find the halo regen not bad

1 Shieldenergie (regen after 5 secs or so)
1 Main energie (dont regen if they empty droideka will explode)

if you get hit in the shield regen time, the regen will stop ;>

and the droideka class can only take 3 people or so ;>

ah bad wookie class for the imperials will not be bad because the rebels have to many "low-upgrade-cost=very-powerfull" classes


for example the wookie or the hero

~30 points for full blaster and 3 thermals (hero)
some more points and you get dodging lvl2 ammo, shield and healing

the same for wookie

ah wookie can with max 2 fully loaded shots kill and droideka thats very unbalanced i think ;>
+ the boni with the 3 thermals for 15 pionts and wookie strenght ...

i wish me more good classes for the imperials

Having charged shots will cost the wookie 27 points... +3 thermals that'd be 42 points, he can get lvl 2 strenght at most, and i don't think punching a deka would be a good tactic.

I seriously disagree with this , the imperials have 2 of the best classes , droideka and mandalorian , the rebels need better classes , The droideka combined with det whores is just pure evil , and mandalorians with their jet packs , rockets , and flamethrowers are very strong , the rebels have the clone , yet their rifle is only good at close range so its not that good , so i highly think that Rebels need better classes

yep the imperials have with their mandy the best contra jedi class (beside the dark jedi)
maybe the clone rifle should take more hp away from dark-jedi (and the secundary should take 10 pts instead of 1 when the dark-jedi blocks)

To be honest I think the rebellion have fantastic classes.

With a fully equipped clone trooper, I can and have killed 3 or 4 jedi without getting touched.

A wookie gets 3 thermals, and can avoid pushdowns, and thier gun bleeds through a bit, meaning they own jedi.

I think the mb non-symmetrical balance between rebel and imp classes is already quite good. Bowcaster rocks, I agree. And a wookie can avoid pushdowns, true. But wookies are slow, remember. Dekas can own jedis too btw. Dont tell me "dekas are piece of cake for a jedi!" because I dont agree. Of course a Jedi with level3 defense can do really well against deka and a deka has serious problems when u get his back, but jedi is not generally the best class to *attack* them. One small error when you re trying to attack, and the jedi is down by the deka firepower. In fact, dekas are very hard if u face them 1 vs 1, whatever the class you re using. The best anti-deka tactic can be done if u have at least 2 gunners, or maybe a jedi and a gunner imho.

Best thing vs dekas: a corner & a wookie crossbow (even better with scope). If done right you can hit the deka and it won't be able to hit you back.

That s right, it works fine on jabba and cloudcity maps, it s harder on tantive4. I really think wookie is the best "anti-deka" thanks to bowcaster (high damage and rate, and crossbow as Alesh has said).

The key point about dekas vulnerability, i think, it s the time a deka spends in moving from firing/walking state to rolling state. That transition is slow enouth so that a deka player cannot just easily escape whenever he wants.

Gang-up works Best!!. When we faught droidekas yesterday we had 4 gunners with e-11 and we all kept firing at them brought them down in about 10 seconds. The way I kill droidekas ingame if i have only myself is getclose bhindthem and start e-11 2nd fire. when they start to turn then go with it that way you can stay behind him.
