I'm nominating this thread for most random, hilarious thread ever award.

Oh and you can't activate your jetpack without double jumping.;)

Fall off a ledge and start it? :p

Roll back + click jump mid roll (you have to jump or fall from a ledge to initiate roll though) ;P

But the effects of above way, rolling forward or backward are rather fun..

Tbh, there should be a jetpack activate button, like /quickjetpack for years past.

it's hard to take l337l4ngu4g3 threads seriously.

Agent is correct, and i also agree that there should be a button to do it, although it's not one of those 'we really need it badly features'

You can do a backroll / forward roll + hold down jump for a sort of fancy jetpack take off, or just double tap / hold down jump to get the jetpack going. Currently, those are the only ways.

I vaguely thought there was something along the lines of jump+use as well, but these guys know better than I do.

how about a burst flight button? like the darktroopers in bf 1 and 2. heres how it would work:

you aim at the direction you want to fly, you press... some button (your choise which to bind to) and then you go into possition for like 1.5 seconds and Wham! you fly away at high speeds in the direction you were aiming at and you lose maybe 1/8 or 1/7 of your fuel doing this. would be great for covering distance in the dotf hangar or the main corridor without having to waste (much) fuel flying there, or if your in a hurry somewhere to help a teammate etc or if it's a well planned getaway from the jedi or a quick hit and run strike. considering the large burn when bursting like this, maybe you could make the cooldown take longer.

sounds reasonable? oh and one more thing: if you go too fast and too far by accident, you could activate your jetpack again and fly regularly but by doing this, your cooldown will take some time, maybe 10 seconds at max, and if you keep flying with the already high cooldown and wait till it burns out, your jetpack is destroyed by the enormous heat.

wasnt it like bind (key) "+moveup; wait 1; +moveup" ? Im not sure if the wait is needed but better safe than sorry.
