I have always wanted to know.. Why is it all of the map is based off the movie, it all looks great.. besides the main hall..
In the movie the main hall dosen't have a big turn, it just streches out more in the same dirrection as generator to hangar.. and that it also had tons of tall pillars and diffrent windows.
Just wanted to know why everything but that was movie perfect o.o

Open hallway with doors and corridor turn and small pillars and windows with alcoves plays better than long straight open hallway with big pillars and no alcoves.
Play another map, DOTF isn't going to have its layout changed.

Whatever i said about DOTF, its still a great map. Yes, it gets boring because its so played too much - yet its still a good map. Movie realism isn't really an issue for a game, nor should it be in my opinion. After all, its a game - and i'd rather play a fun game then a game that sticks with the movies.
authentic movie maps has added immersion quality :p

I love DOTF so don't change it. Sod the movie compared to this map IMO.

Though admittedly, the small pillars in that hallway have always been a lousy excuse for cover.

As someone who's been playing DotF since b17 (but not much since b19 onward) anything you guys can do to this map to change it would be more than welcome.
Just don't bring back those death doors.
I like the layout quite abit of DOTF, although it tends to get ld after awhile. Could the layout be extended a little to have some more to the map? Also, there are a few mapping errors with the map that Id like fixed cause there annoying. Such as in the imp spawn, theres a missing light, but a light there thats been there for 2 builds. Then theres a brush that has a caulked face down a side hallway by the door.
make a second version, this one called not DOTF but eh...*increases pressure for a brain fart*
....TBFN PA ....The Battle for Naboo - Palace Assault ...one of it's map trilogy !
(including the gun grappling rope to the floor above! Fa this would be easy access with the gun, one shot thing. Open there's a secondairy route there for gunners :o)
The first installment would be this, second a Theed map, unlike theed streets, this being the prequal to the hangar infiltration.
Third map being the gungun encounter on the grass fields with the droid army.
Bonus map, the space battle of naboo, ala star destroyer but prequal trilogy.
So, who's crazy enough for this daunting task? :p

Let the doors close and open very quickly on a tempo basis, and give them spiked teeth and crashing sounds when they make contact.
