installation supposed to take 4+ hours to install??

I have played this before but not in a while the thing is it it supposed to take 4+ hours for this to install as thats the pace it seems to be going at at the moment?? Thanks and how do you speed it up??

Thanks. But i didn't realise MB2 had died as there are NO servers whatsoever playing movie battles now?? Is this a regular occurrence??

But now i find out the game doesn't come with DOTF?? Im sure it did before??:eek: and saying as half the games are DOTF i suppose i need ti find the map.

Malak, the mod does come with DotF. There must be something you did wrong or perhaps you didnt saw the file in the MBII directory.

Sounds like you
a.) installed them into the wrong folder (all maps go into YourJKADirectory/GameData/MBII/)
or
b.) didn't actually get them (that's in case you used the installer and had the checkboxes for the maps unchecked)

I also don't have lunarbase either but have most of the others.

All i can say is someone REALLY doesn't want me playing this game :/

Simply download and run the installer and uncheck everything but the maps you want to have.

In case anything shows up in red text, you should get that as well and best take a look whether you have all core files too.

I don't know where you live and whatever specs your internet connection has, so, sorry, but yea, it could be perfectly normal.

Could be that your speed changes a bit if you change from ftp to http download however.

I have broadband and live in the U.K yet it is the same speed for all the mirrors. I don;t get it?? The cmp package took me seconds to download yet this movie battles new download thing isn't that good:eek:.

I'm no expert in network/routing/server/ISP-related/etc kind of matters but 4 hours doesn't seem too bad for the whole build, tbh.

To put things into perspective: some of our testers have to wait longer when forced to fully update their beta versions. ;)

(just a note, the installer alvays showed some file red for me after like 3 install? :D though the game run perfectly soo I doesn't really cared about it but if you wana know which files I can check it)

The installer/patcher doesn't work all that well, for example it refuses to update dotf and lunarbase as well as it deletes the new pistol animation (not exactly delete most likely it just uses a different name in this build and it isn't being installed). That's what it did to me, at least.
