As some people may know, I'm personally rather fond of the Aliens universe. Since Plasma's creation of an FA Aliens map in the Movie Game Map Pack (http://www.moviebattles.com/files_addons), I've been rather ecstatic about it. So much so, that a fair few new features have been slipped into MBII to support it better. (Naturally, they'll all be usable in other FAs too.)

First up, we've got
Dismemberment Fragility
A classflag that lets most impacts dismember a player model. (Such as bullets.) Like so:

Related to that is,
Acid Blood
Another classflag that, when set, causes a player to poison anyone nearby when they're dismembered, automatically. (If you've got acid blood yourself, you're immune to poison.)

Something FA-lovers that enjoy "modern" weapons might like, to get away from the slow-moving Star Wars blaster bolts, might be:
Hitscan weapons with configurable tracers
Essentially, you can make most(not all) weapons hit their targets instantly, instead of firing slow-moving projectiles through the air. You can also configure the chance of a tracer graphic being drawn onscreen with each shot.


Lastly, in the Aliens-related stuff, there's now a classflag that will turn the Clone Rifle into a
Flamethrower Weapon
It's not your pansy Mandalorian-style wrist Flamethrower, nor even comparable to the Plasma Flamethrower featured in CommTower FA. This thing is meant to be comparable to the other guns of the game. It kills.

As you might've noticed in the above screenshot, and in a feature that's applicable to all FAs, as well as Open mode, we've finally figured out how to make flames linger upon someone who's been torched. Meaning, if you light that Jedi up with your wrist flamethrower, they're going to catch on fire, and burn for several seconds. (Unless they go for a swim in some nearby water, of course.)
Likewise, lava will now ignite people who touch it.

Shotgun damage has been tweaked to make it more consistent, and another, unrelated FA-only classflag has been added, CFL_INSTAGIB...which transforms the Disruptor rifle into an Isntagib Rifle that will disintegrate anyone it strikes, in a single shot. Naturally, that one's intended for FA maps that are meant to be Instagib maps, as it would be grievously unfair to use unless your opponents also had one for themselves.

Some other things are in the works in my department, but haven't been completed yet...

I love the stuff you've done on affecting what happens when you die, and I'd love to see more options on it in the future, like exploding like a grenade when you die, or atleast just a secondary so anyone next to you when you die gets knockdowned. xD

One idea I had that's similar to the dismemberment suggestion, is allowing SBDs to have certain parts dismember without killing, ala Republic Commando.

Oh, forgot to mention this too, regarding Force Blinding:

1. There's now a purple version of the MT effect over people who're blind's heads. (Effect might be changed.)
2. Blinding 3 only blinds people as long as Blind 2 and Blind 1 now: 7.5 seconds instead of 15. The difference between Blind 2 and Blind 3 is that Blind 3 still has the 360 degree area of effect, and longer range.
3. Blinding will now only take effect upon people who you have Line of Sight to. You cannot blind people who're behind cover. (Although you still can if they're facing away from you: I felt that was possibly overkill, so didn't do it.)

...? Never heard of anyone crashing on the map. And I do regularly play on it with a full server for an hour or two. XD

maybe you can give soldiers a KAMAKAZI Effect...... think about it.... The soldier runs up to a jedi..Pulls the pin screams and then explodes..doing about 50-25 damage to everyone around him.

I get the crash too, something about CM model inline 47 > 47 or something. will get the actual error for you shortly

Model inline errors are caused by having the wrong version of the map usually. Get the patch for the movie map pack to fix it. (Or possibly the server doesn't have the patch and you do)
