Droid shield as a weapon?

Someone told me tonight that they can up and down the shield as a way of damaging people next to them. Using this, they can completely slaughter a jedi who sits on thier head, therefore getting rid of one of thier only weaknesses.

Is this intended or bug?

Acidus explained this as the player being so close the weapon sprite isn't drawn, i'm not so sure as i think i was too far roundd to be killed by a blaster shot when it happened to me. But really if you have a big droid with spiky legs walk on you chances are you'll get popped.

I thought it was because the sprite wasnt drawn, but I've been seeing it happening when you're actually on top of the droid. And droids can't fire upwards so it has to be true.

I've actually had it done to me, but never done it myself. When you're on a droid, instead of rolling away, they'll just step quickly so thier shield goes up and down taking about 40hp a go.

Please go test this someone, if you get chance. i'll try and test it sometime but its not easy on a packed public server.
