Yeah, MBII has splashes now when projectiles hit the surface of the water. (They can be disabled via a client-side cvar if you wish.) Besides Lindsey's wonderful mb2_cmp_theedstreets map--shown above--there are a few official MBII maps in development with significant amounts of water.
Splash effects also work with slime and lava, in case you were curious.
Just an aesthetic thing, but it does tend to make liquids look more like liquids.

Well now. I think we all know how annoying TKers can get in MBII. Pending some changes to the anti-TK system(and as a nice feature in general), TKs now display in red text both onscreen when you do one, and in the console, so everyone(Including any admins around.) on the server will know if someone's done some TKing, and exactly who's done it to whom.
If you kill yourself it'll also show up in red, generally. Don't do that. :P

Those projectile hits on the water are gorgeous. Perhaps this will inspire more mappers to create maps that have rivers and water.
Also this "red tker warning" will make it much easier for admins to see who is tking and to deal with it. Nice addition. ;)
Wow, fantastic ideas! The red text tk is great!

I'm gonna do it... JUST to spite you.
Wasnt you going to add mirrior/reflective damages?

i suggest that lindsey ad the mirror water effect used in endor to that pool, that effect is amazing, hardly takes any fps, yet is beatiful

I did, like six months ago or so. Before B19.1, IIRC. People didn't like/want it, so it's sitting in code, mostly complete, but disabled. :P

Why wouldn't they want it? If you can't control your own shots when firing at reflective surfaces, you should pay the consequences, if you ask me. :p Damn noobs can't handle putting a little thought into their firepower!
Glad to know it's there when we want it, though.

Sounds about right. At least with FA-only stuff some of it gets some use. :P
I expect the Anti-TK system improvements will be of great use to me...

MB2: Awesome Bug Day - Azuvector's code is all activated across all servers simultaneously. During this "bug day", MB2 becomes self aware at 5:52 AM Eastern Standard Time and instantly begins its plot to take over the world's arsenal of "blobs". Using these "blobs" as its primary weapon for global domination, it also uses combat robots known as "DEKAZ!11!!!1!" to mop up any remaining resistance. Today only a few known MB2 resistance players remain to combat this threat of B17 blobs and Deka spam.
Sorry about my terminator ripoff tangent, it felt somewhat appropriate :p

Great features... However i don't think a Superheated gas blaster bolt would cause water to 'splash' maybe a Grenade or a proj shot.
