Well recently me and some friend got together to play MBII. One of my friends got a little board and decided to feed jabba to the rancor. For the first time I'd ever seen it actually worked. For the first few times. Then one time my friend decided to stop kicking jabba over to the hole, and this time when the rancor ate jabba he had enough health to survive. That is, he was inside the rancors belly. So my friend continued to do this, and we had no hope to win. I'm just saying you might consider giving jabba slightly less health, cus' he didn't survive by much. Oh and may I add it was the funniest thing I ever saw. :p
Yea, that was fun! But we didnt kill rancor.
Have someone killed the rancor in jabba map?

Ooooh, the perfect hiding place.I don't think this rancor is killable.
It is killable... but when the rancor eats somebody, the eaten dissapears, no matter the health, so if somebody survives, he'll be trapped "inside" the rancor until sombody kills it, but after that he'll be able to walk invisible (but killable i think).
Try to throw dets down there and see if he dies (primary fire only) :P
Cant remember who it was but we had 4 dekas with full firepower on it for the whole timelimit, and it didnt die, so unkillable I say...
Really? :eek: I've killed it with just one droideka, the rancor in the Jabba map is kill able I tell you!

The Rancor NPC has 2000 HP while the Mutant Rancor has 10000 HP.
So unless it is a modified Rancor on the map, that beast will die. ;)
yep me and 3 other guys killed the rancor on jabba map with blaster shots....

Indeed it does, the only way really to kill it is stand in the entrance doorway where it can't get to you. Then blast away with your Droideka.

True, I have tryed riding it but it is very bumpy. Sometimes when it picks you up, if you are jedi, you can keep sabering and it trys to eat you but shrinks back and trys again. As far as I know, it always eats you eventually. There's no way of getting out of the grip. Doesn't the guy who let's the Mutant Rancor loose get out of it's grip somehow?

Doesn't he get eaten? Anyway i don't remember the mutant rancor ever grabbing me... his bad breath and punches were more than enough :P

Well, as far as I can remember, the guy who lets the Mutant Rancor out gets picked up and then dropped somehow, then flicked across the floor and then eaten. I don't know how he gets out of the grip. The Mutant Rancor looks so funny when he's peering down at the guy who lets him loose.

If you get him in correctly you can have the gate shut him in the drop tunnel. Then you can't shoot him through the grating either. Also the rancor often gets stuck walking into the wal when jabba goes down, if you fall down try moving as close to the tunnel in as pos.
Well I can't get it to work consistently, so I think it might just be a random glitch in base ja. If it doesn't work though, throwing jabba in there doesn't really help because he gets eaten. Even if he gets stuck behind the grate the rancor can grab him through it. As for killing the rancor, I was a Droideka and Imre was a jedi and we were shooting\slashing him for quite awhile and he didn't die.
And for the mutant rancors grip, if I recall, the rancor is lifting him up to eat him and he just falls, nothing special.

I'm certain rancor is invincible in jabbas palace. We had 4 dekas and one mandy trying to kill him to no avail (thats for the whole round too)
I've killed it before. Took 2 mands, 2 wookies and 3 clonetroopers. Didnt take that long either tbh.

Hmm, it was around the time 15 was released, so possibly b14.
I think i killed it in b14 too.
There you have it. Cus' I've tried in B15 and its impossible.

Ahh, it was quite a while ago so I'd say either Build 13 or Build 14, which may explain why you cannot kill the rancor now in Build 15.

level3 grip, pick him up plomp him on your head(or even better Jabbas head =D), hey presto you have your own guardian Rancor.
You can.... grip a rancor.... ?!
Must be true what Yoda sais... size matters not. Except for push and pull of course.

ofcourse, this is base JKA im talking about - but grip is pretty much the same in this, as base - isn't it? (apart from the red 'its yooooou' hand)

well the rancor did die in the movie, even though it had its head/neck crushed by the inner gate cpming down
The rancor makes u invisible if u press block while it eats u. U end to its stomach and if someone kicks rancor with melee, u come out and ur invisible (and yes, u can use force powers).

smart move to blurt that out loud :/ hope beta16 comes out before jabbamap gets ruined so bad that we only have one playable map left...
in retrospect, it is quite funny to think of that one guy who told me and ren that removing han solo from cloudcity would make the map crash... he seemed worried enough and he was right.. that wonderful map needs to be fixed aswell. besides, where's dust2, there never was anything wrong with it!
I dont think that anyone could use that as advantage in real game... Because 3/5 of times the kicker gets eaten.
I think being able to crush the Rancor by the gate and setting its HP to around 50000 would be best. It should die.
hmm CT that could be done with an icarus script i suppose but it might look dodgy cos theres no realy animation for a racncor getting crushed is there?

i don't think this needs a new script. just like CT-272 said: set its health to 50000 and set the doordamage also to 50000. then it dies as soon as the gate touches it and falls down as it did in the movie. (hopefully :rolleyes: )
just think then the door would crash even u!
and it is hard to make rancor stand under the door when it wants to close
The door damage would be great, and a twitchy control panel which randomly works when pressed. :D
or give the jedi a skull he can trow on the switch :p
oh yeah, me and leoss killed him like 20 times or more :cool:
