Ok i've made my weapon, Model, Skin, Uvmap.... and i've gotten it in game but what about the 1st person view. it doesn't show up. could you please tell me how to do it?

I always had the trouble that it got stuck on first person view cuzz i didnt know the key.

I know it now, n its P press the 'P' key.

Hope u didnt bind it with pr0n.

The first person model only really needs a tag_flash
If it doesnt show up you need to rotate it around untill it does.
Im pretty sure there's a better way to do it, but thats how i did it. Just trial and error.

Well if the old 'Move it around untill you can see it' trick doesnt work you can always send the file to me so i can have a look at it.

could you tell me what the 1st person file for the Concution rifel (SBD) is called as that would allow me to jus scam the tags and align the model to the orriginal tags rather then creating new ones.

If i remember correctly that's c_rifle.md3
Realigning to a different mesh doesnt always work. I've found that alot of first person models have totaly different positions/rotation.

Ok this is getting anoughing.

I just can't find the correct spot.

nor can i get the skin to apply.

if some1 will help me with it i'll send it to them. and give anycredit i can.

(though you'll all be getting special thanks already (devs that is, and Chairwalker by name)

Now this is what I do to get the fpv to work:

import the .glm of the weapon that should be replaced. copy the tags and merge them with your model... eventually scale down your model to make it fit to the tags.
Save the scene and reset.

Now import the fpv md3 model of the original weapon.
Open up your saved project and again, scale your model to fit the size of the original one and rotate/move it so it is placed exactly like the old one. But remember to also move the tags along with your model.

Now delete the original model and export what's left as the md3 for your weapon.

The one probilem with that.

I use gmax not 3dx max and can't import glm files :confused:

any other advise i could use pahricida?

A good modelling program for weapon models would be milkshape. You can get a 30 day trial at http://www.swissquake.ch/chumbalum-soft/

I know, I've tryed both milkshape and 3dx max as 30 day trails but both ran out. And i didn't really think eather was worth the money for how much i'd do.

I use Gmax and I've worked out how to do *most* things in it, though the programe does have limitations, the main probilems i have are iwht external programes, (eg. md3view, JA)
