Dark Forces Mod

Okay... One day when I opened ASE (all-seeing eye) it recommended to download Dark Forces mod.. I was interested and I downloaded it later...

So, just for info to those who do not know: Dark Forces is an old game. You can think Jedi Academy as Dark Forces 4 actually :) Because First Jedi Knight was Dark Forces II. Dark forces is about Kyle Katarn fighting the empire only with guns. So that game didn't have any force things. Dark Forces was a very good game with its brilliant maps and gameplay. I myself have played Dark Forces through many many years ago and this mod can be nice to all who have played it.

I played only the first map (For some reason, I was very low with fps btw.) of the demo (Yes it is only DEMO, not complete yet). But It was still very nice... Oh those times... ^^

So here is the official site of the mod:http://darkforces.jediknight.net/. Strange it seems to be currently down.. well I downloaded it from here: http://dl.echofiles.net/Jedi_Academy/Mods/dfmod_demo.php. Mod takes 200 MB (kind of big) and it is only for single play. And it has only the first three maps, but some day it will be ready.

speaking of jka mods has anyone played that troopers dawn of destiny mod or whatever its called cuz i see it like on all the sites and its apperantly a popular dl but ive never played it cuz its like 400 mb or something i dont remember

i downloaded it but i couldnt find any servers at all running it, that was quite a bit ago, so might have some now

The Dark Forces MOD is one of the few promising active Jedi Academy modifications left. (besides us of course :cool: )
Imo the demo does give a very nice preview of the overall quality the final mod will hopefully possess.
damn now that sounds twisted somehow :p

I liked the mod (except my poor pc couldn't handle it well). One thing I noticed was an imperial commando model. Could be useful, hint hint.
