I can usually kill Jedi/Sith with dual pistols without using rocket or flamer... strafing is the key. Circle around them.

That's why I try to urge Mandas in general to do the same. I see the need of a flamer w/ 2 or more Jedi but flaming a single Jedi cmon give the B16 Jedi a break.
The vast majority of jedi/sith are very easy to kill.
But that also means the vast majority of gunners are easy to kill also, so it evens out :P

I killed 4 jedi with the SBD's bitch slap. One on one. Slap, slap, slap, maybe some shots in there to mix it up a bit. Never could touch this!

The cardboard acting in the new movies suck. Badly. very very badly.
I think its the script that kills them for the most part. That and portman couldn't act her way out of a paper bag.

At least they can't **** Ep3 up, with all the battles, there won't be much time left for any real acting.

All ages? C'mon, little girls love Anakin, little boys like Obi, bigger boys like Padme, and bigger girls just go with their date.
So a Padme scene wouldn't be that bad for all ages. Look at what Lucas has done with PG.
Episode 2 makes 1 look good.....
You're right actually. I hated episode 1 until episode 2 came out.. now watching episode 1 on dvd isnt so painful as long as I scene skip.

You see the problem is george lucas is a tit. He doesnt even talk to his cast if he can help it and has been quoted as saying that if actors could be replaced with cg, he would do it in a second.
The actors arent even given access to the script! They get given a page per day, on the morning that they are expected to act it out, this leaves no room for rehearsing, practice or discussion or potential re-writes (which the original trilogy cast could do, they often told lucas they couldnt read out some of the crap he had written and altered the script themselves).
And on top of this he does practically every single scene in front of a greenscene because he thinks its cool :/
Lucas is very good at making talented actors look bad, so please dont blame them for the terrible prequels.
Hamil didn't even know Vader was Luke's father even during the scene, they just told him Vader would say "something strange", and let him react on his own... (at least that's said in the dvds)
Also remember... jedi are cardboard... there is no emotion, there is peace :P

Hayden is actually the only one I've not seen before the prequel part, but I have read that part of the reason he got the part is he has had very strong performances in some small movies beforehand.
And yes, portman was superb in leon (one of my all time favourite movies).
I also left out liam neeson, another incredible actor spoiled by lucas directing (although to be fair, I think he did a much better job than most have, which would suggest he is suited to acting without rehearsal , and is even more impressive).

might seem off topic but it goes along the lines of this. Maybe this is one of the things that makes old movies better than new movies... :eek:
Anyway, in the original (and I think the second) Rocky movie, the filmed 3 ends. In the first ending Apollo won, in the second, Rocky won, and in the 3rd, it was a draw. No one but Sylvester Stallone knew how the movie would end until it hit theatres and Apollo ended up winning.

Hot damn, we finally get some movie talk going on. And yep, I agree with the general consensus that the script was poorly done and Hayden and Natalie couldn't act themselves out of a paper bag. But the thing that really contributed to Hayden and Natalie's poor acting was the script. The script had absolutely nothing to give any reason to Anakin and Padme's love story. The romance in EPII was as weak as...Walker's aim with a lightsaber. :p
I mean, one moment Anakin was getting shut down by Padme for the 10th time and the next Padme was confessing her unconditional love for him. WTF? That's even worse than a soap.

Depends on the sith. You probably haven't fought a Sith of decent skill yet. Have sith vs gunner been rebalanced yet? Cause, just to let you know, killing a Jedi or Sith is no big accomplishemnt in B16, if you could take 3 good sith in B15, you'd have bragging rights, but I doubt that ever happened.
I took two at the same time with 3 dets and strenght 3. Does that count? :P

I'm goin the other way, Chairwalker. Killing Jedi/Sith is so much easier now that people think it was impossible in B15 hence why no one believes me and/or people ridicule me with sarcastic comments (I believe Toka's comment was sarcastic, and Aezeroth was just tellin me to shutup very politely). Anyway, yeah the past is the past (and some parts were good) but in general killing Jedi/Sith isn't anything worth bragging about anymore so theres less fun, competition, and adrenaline-in-your-veins in you(gunner) vs Jedi/Sith duels.
I think its just as hard now people have started to use the forcepowers more, such as grip or lightning.
I only knew a choice few who actually used g / l in b15, and that was ACiD, me and maybe a few others, but generally people never needed to use the powers as jedi were close to invincibility.

Oh, and Jedi/Sith are no where near being under powered. There is just a greater difference in performance because it now takes great skill to use effectively. If you disagree, try taking on Acid or Slade. They will show you just how powerful a Jedi/Sith can be.

First of all I'm saying B15, so no ARCs
Second of all, I'm saying two B15 Jedi alone. No jetpack, flamer, or rocket. Of course the flamer could have helped me kill quicker and could have saved my team from straining their veins for a miracle that I would survive. I also used to melee a lot of Jedi if they were getting too close. (As you can tell I'm not much a fun of the flamer..Mandas used it for intimidation more than anything, based off of Ep2 :P)
*EDIT*Im not a fan of the flamer, not 'fun of the flamer'...that sounds wrong as hell

Umm...........no.
Bottom line, b16 mands are just like any other gunner class because of its automatic fire. There really isn't any skill required to use dual pistols.
