OK, just gonna start throwing some pix out here.
This is Talon Karrde's hideout on Myrkrr (or however you spell it!)
It's all based on the Dark Horse comic and the architechture therefore reflects the very "chunky" style of the artists.
It's a WIP and still early days yet.
Was originally concieved as a small FFA map but now its a little bigger and I will likely make it CTF and SIEGE as well.
Currently lighting needs to be done along with a zillion little details.
Doing some scripting for this one too.
Anyway without further ado...

I really like that !
register there, give him some good valuable feedback and he might even consider porting it to MB2.

Nice. Even though this (http://img301.imageshack.us/img301/9039/shot0014jv0.jpg) looks a bit empty.

looks... decent.
I have to agree, looks a bit bland and empty in areas, but I love those textures.
Just needs those zillion details, then it will look good.
Looks good, outside lighting could be better. Detail is good. More filled stuff on the large area's.

What the hell is Myrkr or whatever? I just finished Dark Nest I (The Joiner King) and they keep mentioning it. Anakin Solo apparently died there.

I'm sure it will be much fun once done.
I think the problem with MST's maps is that he obviously has a very creative and innovative mind, but sometimes gets bogged down with too many details. I only say that because I believe I have the same problem. I think the most fun and popular maps typically are the most simple (er, simplest?), from a gameplay perspective. I think sometimes you (well, I) get so caught up in thinking "omg I could do this and this and that too" that gameplay, level flow and ultimately Fun suffers.
.shrug.
Just my $0.02.
and he might even consider porting it to MB2.
Are ye sure there is the right gameplay for MBII, considering ye mentioned of seige?

Same thoughts here. It looks really good.
@Rusty

@P!ng, I like your maps.
Capture the flag is not employed in MBII, and seige consists of constant, unskilled respawning. They do not answer my question in regards to whether or not this is suitable for -MBII-.

If it has siege then isn't it suitable for MB2?

To act as if there is no difference between seige and MBII would be an insult to the hard work placed in MBII, a last man standing game (as opposed to constant, infinite respawn).
Seige is similar to battlefront gameplay wise (cept, watered down objectives).
Is battlefront the same as MBII? No.
Is seige the same as MBII? No.
Is MBII based on seige? Yes. But is it the same? No.

If its based on siege than that means its suitable with his map. Go into more depth of what you mean and what requires a map to be suitable for MB2 becauses as is I can't see why it can't be suitable for MB2. All maps are suitable for MB2 for that matter.

All maps are suitable for MB2 for that matter. No, it's not suitable for MB just because it's a Siege map. If this map is huge, it won't be good for MB. See, most Siege maps are pretty damn big, because small maps with infinite respawns would be boring. But MB maps need to be smaller because of the maximum of 3 lives limitation.
Cheers Jasp for explaining. Considering it takes a three-life soldier half a year to cover the distance of some these maps, and most seige maps are twice as long, it really isn't compatible unless you're entering FA terrority. Then it becomes underplayed.
After all, take Lunarbase and stick that into seige. You'll have a million and one Landos wooohooo'ing their way to the generator, and every time they get to it, wham, backstab by the mass-respawn of imperials.
It's based. Doesn't mean it's the same. Seige is based on JA - doesn't means it's the same a single player, or Capture the Flag, or Free For All.

Even if thats the case all the MB2 team has to do is shorten it or make it bigger if its too small. :|
Take tatooine from SJC, wasn't a siege map but MB2 team members altered it a bit. Like I said, any map is suitable. I can see no reason as to why it couldn't be. Even so large maps aren't even that much of a big deal in MB2. Look at theedstreets, again tatooine, corellia, etc. All big maps and they seem to be "suitable".
By the looks of it anyway, this map doesn't look to be overly big.
I never said based is the same as same btw Rusty. I said if its based its suitable. Example: This Anakin (http://jediknight2.filefront.com/file/Anakin_Skywalker;22041) model is based on episode 2. It is suitable for an episode 2 FA.
It is based on Jedi Academy, it is suitable for MB2.
I never said based is the same as same btw Rusty.
You implied it, primarily, in this statment:
If its based on siege than that means its suitable with his map.
The implict assumption contained in this sentence is if MBII is based off of seige, that it is similar enough for it to be compatible with seige maps.
Which is incorrect, see the example below.
Take tatooine from SJC, wasn't a siege map
Which, if you consider, may be the reason it was ported in the first place.
Note how no seige maps have actually been ported to MBII yet? We have single player JA maps and FFA multiplayer maps which have been ported/converted, but no seige... Hmm... I wonder why (R2 float bug anyone?).
I can see no reason as to why it couldn't be
Even in the face of the reasons we gave you?
One EXCELLENT example that seige is incompatible is of it's time limit. It works typically on 10 minutes. MBII cannot exceed 5. Since all the seige maps work with choke points, they are incompatible with a last-man standing game, primarily, because of camping.
Example: This Anakin (http://jediknight2.filefront.com/file/Anakin_Skywalker;22041) model is based on episode 2. It is suitable for an episode 2 FA.
Oh dear. The model you have choosen comes with the model crash bug. Please select another supposedly suitable model for MBII.

@ 10 minutes statement. I said you can alter it like you can with most other MB2 maps. Give that choke point an alternate route(Ex: DotF), even with the main hall serving as a choke point people still go through it nonetheless.
@ Anakin model. I never recieved any crash when using him......or did I miss something? :p

Yes it can. There is no reason it can't. Maybe I haven't played siege in a bit but any map in MB2 can be converted for JA base as siege and still be effective and fun. Who DOESN'T like chaos when you run into the gen room to face hundreds of imperials. Like you said long ago about something I forgot :p .....choice. You can hack the console or destroy the gen manually.

ok people .... imagine this map was made by the MB Team ... and you would have just played the public beta, which in this case is even available for download.
... wouldn't you feel like pointing out whats so bad about it and what really needs to be changed and all?
I know you can do it when no one wants to hear it ...heres your big chance to be useful!
hey, i'm curious, has any of MST's maps ever gotten out of BETA?
the texturing on that map is hawt.
